i fibreglassed some as a bit of a tester to see if it was any good. It definately firmed them up and i recon you'd be able to fit and remove them without breaking them at all. well reccomended the fibreglassing. I think I'll need to get a vl smooth set fibreglassed and crpeted.

nah. I've noticed repro material for walkinshaw / vl hdt group a ss and vk group a ss has been popping up on ebay. I've also seen some material for vn group a ss and i just can't decide. I need to find a trimmer in my area who's not a complete F***wit. It;s suprisingly hard. also i've focused on the rust as you can see and the brakes and i've currently been away from home for over 2 weeks so i just haven't had time to get back into everything! cheers for the positive comments though

Hey guys, Today was a great day! Today was the first time the vl's been out all finished since winter. 2 pack bumpers sorted, new wheels fitted up, new brakes run in, bonnet mat on and detailing galore all paid off in a smooth all afternoon cruise! PICS! shame about the crappy multicoloured thing in the background with odd rims. :/ ---------- Post added 15-09-13 at 22:47 ---------- loving this photo. even with the cheesy instagram distortion

Should of took pics on the other angle, looks to be a bt1 next to you? I have also grown quiet fond of your rims, i didnt like them at first but they definitely set the car off.

Can't believe I haven't commented on this yet I must commend you on some top work in bring this wagon back to its best, especially in original condition and with period correct mods. Which is harder than the usuall "slap some boost into it and half cage etc" Top effort

cheers guys! the wheels make it look and drive like a go kart. i keep looking at it in the shed and i could swear its a cartoon matchbox car. its crazy. i know i did the wheels the long way and spent more time on them than i needed to jumping around between tradespeople and my own work schedule and being burned along the way but the proof is in the pudding. they fit excellently and the finish is really good. whether or not people like them i not to bothered. its a pretty "now" mod to be "stanced" and poking. now that i've bolted everything up i can totally see why. it drives like its on rails!

so some of you probably dont care but i had an opportunity to grab some photos of the new wheels and fitment without $#!Theaps in the background and with the good camera (not the iphone and not someone else borrowed instagrammed trendy wash stuff.) it needs another attack with the claybar and a wax but i just havent had time or motivation recently. also my first club permit ran out. the car was driven 25 times last year. the daily -

finally got my Calais dash with LED globes installed + my hdt steering wheel fitted. only problem is I've lost the sticker for the steering wheel somewhere along the line. just ordered another for an upcoming show though. better to have it done and looking sweet! I managed to get the KM almost exact (3km difference.)

the steering wheel is actually a combination of 4 different purchases dating back to a bosskit i purchased while i owned my previous VL's. bosskit centrepad wheel itself and soon to arrive in the post the group a sticker all came from different sources. the wheels actually from a honda civic and is about 350mm instead of 380. its tits. a flick of the wrist changes lanes lol
