i take it your car is still rego'd?

No.......I let it lapse at the end of last year. It's something I'll be getting onto very soon. Going to throw an N/A and cheap five speed in so it'll pass RWC. It's all legal, according to the fabricator, and the information VicRoads makes available on their website.

except the fact that you dont have sun visors? lol they're a RWC requirement

You can substitute that for an external sunshade across the top of the windscreen. It'll look like balls, but only be temporary.

As if you guys don't know people who can pass it? I've never had a legit roady on any of my cars aside from my first VL because i was only 17 and hadn't made the contacts yet. In fact my old Calais looked just like urs does right now except with no engine and missing panels when it last passed RWC... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hahahaha, love it Jack. I've got a couple of mates from when I was a mechanic, so we may be able to come to some sort of "agreement". Quote: Originally Posted by Epitaph except the fact that you dont have sun visors? lol they're a RWC requirement Actually, I was checking some more VicRoads shiz just before I left work tonight, and they make no specifc mention to sunvisors being mandatory. They do say that if they're there, the padding must be "sufficient". Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ive been defected for not having them before Jack, when a car has been unregistered it has to be presented at vicroads, so it's not just a case of a dodgy roady That's why i've never let the rego on my ute run out Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I might call a few local workshops and see what their opinion is on sunvisors. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Chill guys, not a real update - just wanted opinions. I'm thinking about chucking some rear headrests on the Berlina seats. Series one Calais style; the square see through headrests. Kyle will already know about this. I think it would look quite pimp. Thoughts?

Actually, I just noticed in there it says "All original padding fitted to the vehicle, including sun visors, should be retained". Hmm...
