You've owned VL's for longer than I've been alive...Does that make you feel old? hahaha Been out in the garage last few days doing more work on the Wagon..... New front strut mounts (original rubber items, not nasty Nolathane) and the biggest possible front and rear swaybar's available Gone from 26mm to 30mm in the front, and the rear I fitted a Sedan bar which has changed it from 14mm (standard Wagon size) to 22mm Snapped this quick picture after I took the GTS to work for a WOF... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Dan for those sway bars,With that thickness I would stick to rubber bush's not nolathane as I recon it could be quite harsh?I think on the Brock from memory they are 28mm and 18mm or 16mm on the rear. Also VL5000 alway drove very well,The alignment from motor to diff was spot on,Which quite rare for a VL,Infact I recon VL5000 drives better than the Brock,I was going to lower or improve the ride but I keep it standed with FE 2 and I just replaced the front Bilsteins with adjustable Konis,And rebuilt the rear Bilstiens for the back.Let us know how she drives when you have finished her. Cheers Marty

Yep, I went and purchased a full set of Genuine Holden swaybar rubber bushes which I fitted at the same time. They last longer and fit much better than Nolathane Took her for a quick spin this afternoon after I got it all back together....Virtually no body roll now, made a huge improvement compared to before...Now all I need is a T5 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Welp, my big front bar I got from Trademe about 6 months ago....Guy said it came off a VN and cost me $80. Rear bar I got from Pick-a-Part in Takanini off the back of a VP Wagon lol, That was about $15 Other than stalking Trademe for second hand ones, you can really only go for brand new ones. I got a price through Repco the other week for the same one Ive got (Whiteline 30mm) and it was around $250 trade price excluding GST, near enough $300... Rear one would be cheaper but still abit of $$$ for a couple of steel rods lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ahhh crap did not realise vn ones fit vl's, thought it was only vb-vl that are interchangebale. so i take it any live axle vb-vs sway bares are interchangebale?

According to Whiteline's website, VB to VP 30mm front bar is BHF16X.....VR/VS is BHF17X, different part number so I assume a different bar. For the rear bar, VB to VS all use a BHR16X (22mm). I always keep an eye out for big aftermarket bars, so if I come across anything I'll let you know. I've got all 3 of my VL's how I want them suspension wise so don't need anymore myself Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
