I'll try that but I don't think I'll get a chance 'til Saturday, it's always dark by the time I get home. I assume I have a spare alternator layin' around, it wouldn't surprise me.

My collection started when I was 15 or 16 and bought my 2L, since then we've owned 6 and currently have 5 (that missing one sort of caught fire while parked in our garage.. we got that one for free! And it was on the road for a while) My personal two are both road legal, then there's my Dad's GTS which is nearly back on the road (just needs the windscreens put back in and the bumpers/sideskirts fixed/painted) a Calais we bought as a parts or project car (just for parts now I think) and the newest is a shared project wagon.
If I have to I'll steal the alternator off the Calais.

I can't get to the passenger side But this Calais doesn't have any of the chrome trim around the bumpers and that :S Did one series not have the chrome? It's more likely that the guy we bought it off took it all off when he took the nosecone off (all he bought it for was the Calais conversion).

I like modified yellow BT1s with FR19s, but those wankers who restore them to factory and call them collectors items really piss me off! They didn't race at Bathurst, they don't have limited build numbers, and they aren't much different in spec to the base model Commodore...
*waits for Aaron to reply with smart ass comment
Old cop cars are cool, Don't know how and don't know why, they just are.
..................Im a closet BT1 fan and my uncle has a VX 9C1, Makes little maori kids go inside when cruising thru the 'hood

Wtf is a 9C1, is that what BT1s became?
Yeah I don't see what the big deal with the BT1s is either.. I'd sort of prefer a mongrel of a car like mine than a factory version of what I want (A9Y?) cause if I had an A9Y I wouldn't be able to make any changes to it at all, value and all that. A car that you can do what you want with is better (Like I don't think Alex would've done so much to a genuine Walky, that'd just be crazy).

Which is what I meant about the ones that you can't touch without ruining their value.

exactly what I say to people when they say why are you changing it (SIKVLT) when it's a rare as VLT Wagon , I would never go chop and changing a genuine calais turbo wagon (A9Y) thats what SIKVLT is for it's only an SL Wagon
