I started hiking for new lines a few years ago, and walking thru fresh snow is a prick, and takes hours kicking steps. With the splitty, you just seperate the board, and it becomes a set of cross country ski's. Throw on the skins and ski straight up I'll be hitting this during the season, about 8k's west of Guthega... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I ride a K2 Bigfoot @ 161 or 163 can't remember.. its a all mountain board but isn't real nice unless your really got some speed up.

im riding a Forum Scallywag 158, the first series... it's the softest board ever released by Forum, and as stable as a wet Kleenex at high speed. But being super soft and reverse camber, it's jibs like nobodies business. I'm 6'2 and 90kg, im probably riding it a bit small but it's so much fun

I got a SIX'EM 151 (The ****ter), a Burton Blunt 155, and now a Burton Republik 163 Spiltboard. How tall are you Luke? 161 is a decent length board

183cms, size 12 feet and currently about 90ish kegs. When I bought the board I was closer to 100kgs lol I have know balance.. god knows how I even manage to get from the top to bottom.

hahaha, thats part of the fun! Thats a decent length board for your height. Low speeds are more about balance and edge control i find. High speeds are more forgiving to being off balance as the edge throws you back at the board My 163 is massive for me being about 5'8. Its for big hills only...
