went to sunshine as my mums car needed new tyres.. while we were there some asians were getting the wheels of some honda (cant remember).. anyways.. it was reverse thread.. they tried the spanners, sockets, the airratchets, nope.. then they got a 3 meter pole onto a socket.. anyway.. about 3 of the asians were pulling all hard as **** and finally got it to spin.. when they looked at it they bent the whole face of the the bolt.. it was clean... lol .. i dont think they got it off also seen some stupid ****s at the same place putting the bolts back onto a car.. think it was a ford.. anyway the dumb gooks started the bolt with the air ratchet.. well they cross-threaded it didnt they.. lol dumb ****s.. wont be going back for sure.. also while i was working on a ba falcon, i was removing the intake.. (tb, pipes and ****).. i dropped one of the throttle body bolts into the intake manifold.. lol.. was a **** but got it out with them long magnet things..

havnt done anything as extrodanarly stupid while working on a car but one night we decided to go do some ringes with my mate VY SS 310rwkw and we decided to put stockies on it so there i was putting a stockie on one side with one of those **** holden jacks while putting the stockie on i see the car slowly lifting but on a tilt (tire is not on yet) my mate on the other side decideds to put the other stockie on, again with one of those **** holden jacks finally both jacks give way bending, car nearly hits the side of the brick garage with me between. but no damage was done but both jacks were fd the owner of the car was not with us at the time because he was away on holidays n left us the keys to look after the car (thats wat makes it funny)

too many to name, my first engine swap was done on oily carpet, with $10 pack of spanners, endless chain and a supercheap trolley jack, didnt no ne thin about cars but had to learn somehow hey? bent flex plate on the way out and did the same to the new one on the way in, but didnt know it then it took 3 s/hand starter motors from the wreckers to figure out why the engine wouldnt crank, turns out the original engine was fine............. the car just had no fuel pump!!! wat a fu c kwit!!!! but hey we were all 15 once.. another thing i was puttin a cold air intake in my calais (plumbing pipe from front to under the air box, dropped a spanner down the pipe and i never found it until i wrecked the calais a year later, spun me out.......

My big moment would have to be forgetting to put the oil filter on a freshly re-assembled Datto 1600 motor at Tafe!! lets just say for the remaining 8 weeks of the 10 weeks course not a day went by without it getting a mention lol, managed to shut the off before all the oil came out....Engine ran fine with some more oil and a filter installed But yes, we were all 15 once Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I just paused an oil change while i had some lunch. (let it sit for half an hour to let the remaining oil drip out) finished lunch, swapped over the filter but neglected the sump plug. sent 4 litres of new oil straight through my engine and onto the paved driveway. off to the shops to get another bottle of oil. Fcukn amateur mistake....

Knocking the bonnet arm out from under the bonnet while my head was resting on the intercooling piping. Prime bruises all round.

when i gave the vl its last service i drained the oil and took the oil filter off,, replaced the oil filter then filled it up and started the car.. i could hear this hissing and bubbling sound,, was wondering were the fuck it was coming from.. ended up being the old oil filter gasket was stuck on the block and there was a gap.. lost about a liter undoing the filter,, taking the loose gasket off and refitting it

changing ball joints at the same time as doing the springs. Broke my pinkie with the hammer using the ball joint splitter and a steel headed mallet. then after only managing to get one out i managed to strip the flange nut on top of the taper of the ball joint with the rattle gun. Changed springs, took it for a drive and it came back out surprise surprise. Lost it and kicked a few things then rang nrma and got free tow to mechanic. Other i had to cut out with the oxy

the dumbest thing i have ever seen was a lady that come to the work shop with a big oil leak and heaps of smoke.... She told us she filled up her oil and it just started doing it, i asked how much oil and she replied "10 liters" lol Once i dropped a VT 5L head on my toe, had steel caps on but all they did was cut my toes to the bone.... Watched a nurse at the hospital cut my boot off for 20 mins, by the time my boot was off i felt that woozy cos i had a boot full of blood drippin everywhere.... The nurse looked just a pail as i did lol

lol my mum was reversing her vz ss out of the garage and forgot to put the garage door up before she did so. my old man wasnt overally impressed Quote: Originally Posted by RhiNOS Knocking the bonnet arm out from under the bonnet while my head was resting on the intercooling piping. Prime bruises all round. haha i havnt done that yet but im sure it will happen sooner or later Also i was fitting my intercooler and i got my mate to jack my car up. after working under the car for about a hour i looked at the jack and saw it was on the sump. Apparently some reliable source told him that "you always jack cars up on the sump" sump was dented but luckily no leaks, could of been alot worse but overall.. prety *** stupid

not me.... but a mate was pissed as **** at the time. had a diff centre and was undoing the crown wheel bolts. he thought **** these are tight. obviously not taking notice to the L stamped into each bolt meaning left hand thread. anyway with a big breaker bar he undone every bolt in the normal direction. was there for hours and stripped out every thread hahhaa

wasn't me but my dad, he had just reconed the head on my ex's 78 corolla, he put it all back together and it was a heaps better, anyway he keeps banging on about his magnet and how we borrowed it or something and it's missing, so i say ok i'll look for it, a few weeks later the car was up on a hill and me and my ex were walking up to it, i saw something dangling from the radiator, what the F**K is that? it was the sidchrome extandable magnet, lol it was on there for like 3 weeks, just hangin around the engine bay
