yeah cheers im stoked i would rather have had the motec but i already spent heaps on turbo i/c and wastegate and its not even hooked up !!!!!
i got a holset h1c with h1e inducer on compressor 60mm i think i measured. got a 12cm2 turbine housing (approx. .77 ar )
standard manifold( moded for ext gate ) and 44mm gate.
i cut intercoooler down from 300mm (h) to 200mm and with the 3" inlet outlets it fits snug an stealth behind bumper-and i taped and painted the bars black for more stealth.
ground out battery tray and moved powersteer refill to beside radiator so the i/c pipe can go through guard. just need front mount plenum and throttle body and about 20k and it will be done hahaha !!!!!!!!!

27-01-14, 21:03 GMT+10#2609 Has anybody used these Taiwanese reproduction bumper/bumper trim parts?
What quality are they? What do they fit like? Is it worth the trouble?
AHHHHHHHHHH

28-01-14, 04:51 GMT+10#2611 I had 1 on mine... I have since replaced it with genuine after it just simply cracked up & started to fall to pieces... It had been on there for 10yrs tho so not a bad run. I don't know if the after market ones are made from a better quality plastic these days or what? Even all the genuine ones I found were deformed & buckled in some way after 25yrs in the sun.
Buma bout the wagon dude!! Did the ABS not work..?

28-01-14, 15:30 GMT+10#2612 Hahaha if only she had ABS......I tell ya, all 4 wheels were locked and it still wasn't enough to stop the old girl.....Wilwoods should have been a factory option lol

28-01-14, 16:01 GMT+10#2613 I have Taiwanese headlights(with OE GM guts), indicators, taillights, and complete front bumper. No issues with any of them. Taillights I've had for about 6 or 7 years and the fit and finish of them is better than the originals. The headlights - the adjusting mechs are cr4p, but the rest of the bits are OK. All VL indicators seem to get cracks in, the repro ones are very good, and cheap. Front bumper is way better than OE GM - very good fit, and no prep needed to paint. I found it impossible to find a good centre section second hand. My upper bumper mouldings are genuine (lots of hunting at pick a part etc!), but I don't think they had repro ones when I bought mu bumper. I think you might be able to get them now though. However I did buy a Taiwanese nosecone and that was a piece of sh1t. Very poor fit with the original GM parts, and it honestly felt like it was made from old Coke cans. Ended up getting a good GM one from pick a part for about $20!
Hope this helps!

28-01-14, 16:53 GMT+10#2614 the top strip that runs along the top of the bumper on mine is from BE carparts theres a little bit of work involved to get them to fit but nothing major

28-01-14, 17:19 GMT+10#2615 All my stuff was from BE too. Getting any of the mouldings to fit nicely takes a bit of work - mine have all been tweaked and cable tied to make them sit right!

28-01-14, 21:27 GMT+10#2617 Thanks guys....Cheers Marty, I'm thinking about just getting a whole new bumper and trims, but I'll see what happens yet...
Long story short, 80kmh road (which I was doing) some knucklehead stopped in the middle of the road to turn into a driveway....just after a blind corner
3 cars in front of me managed to stop in time, but the old Wagon couldn't quite pull up
As luck would have it, at the exact same spot on the left hand side of the road, a cop had pulled somebody else over and witnessed the whole thing, he determined it was a case of "bad luck" but said because I couldn't stop in time, that I'm at fault? Even though this idiot completely come to a stop in the middle of an 80kmh road
life sucks arse sometimes........
On a good note though, Ive got a NOS Genuine Bonnet and Radiator Support Panel here which I will most likely need lol
