Have you considered taking the car to an Auto Sparky? It might cost you afew $$$ but they can perform tests on certain components and may be able to find the source of the problem.... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeap. That's the new plan. Gone though all the usual Vl faults so just leave it for the professionals :-)

Have you checked that the in tank pump is installed correctly? There just seems to be some weird sucking or vibration noises going on. The fuel pumps should sound like a pissed off swarm of bees! In regards to the ht leads, you can check there condition using a multimeter to measure their resistance. They should all be similar. If one stands out as having higher resistance, replace it.

Hahaha what a fiasco.....Booked a Tow Truck 24 hours in advance through a reputable firm (Onehunga towing services) and they end up not being able to make it Got another truck 2 hours later....better than nothing I suppose Holy crap this car is an absolute basket case Yep she is completely fooooked Spent half an hour looking for the build sheet.....no such luck On a good note though after CRC/sanding the surface rust off the engine number face, it reads A8 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Good to see it going to a good home, whats the future plans for this Dan ? Shame you couldn't find the any tags or build papers. I know Mr Bt1 Jason from chch has a set of turbo tags, He might sell but I say he would want more for the tags then what you paid for the whole car. On another note I scored some V5 Simmons and a Front window shade thanks to Mike. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The current plan is to strip the car of all it's valuables (not alot) and dump whatever is left... The problem is, I like to have my cars numbers matching which means there is no chance of me fitting the engine (which most likely needs rebuilding) to any of my cars....Not dissing people who have non-matching cars, that's just my thing. Depending on if I can find somewhere to store all the crap I take out, it may all end up on Trademe. The money I get back will help to fund work on my other projects I'd like to keep everything, but you can only hoard so much crap your never gonna use (and don't I know it) Those Simmons look sweet, are they 15 or 16"? Might be 2 Wagons rolling round the Shore on Gold V5's Make sure you really want that Sunvisor on your car....You've got to drill holes through your A-pillar Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
