Might be 2 Wagons rolling round the Shore on Gold V5's Make sure you really want that Sunvisor on your car....You've got to drill holes through your A-pillar Not saying do not do it,But I think current wof rules forbid drilling into a A piller Cheers Marty Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers for the heads up Marty. Might see if I can get some new brackets made up so I don't have to drill any holes as mike suggested. The simmons are 15" .not sure if I will run them on the wagon yet. I will pull them apart re paint and polish them and then decide.

Whoop Engine turns over (by hand) haha Turbo is not seized (what are the chances) Correct engine ECU (stamped either 3TA or 53) Correct transmission ECU (stamped AT2) And after just checking the rear diff tag, it's stamped 92030910. Holden workshop manual states this part number relates to "3.0ET - SL and Berlina Sedans, Calais with FE2 or V5W suspension and L.S.D." ---------- Post added 19-10-14 at 16:01 ---------- Ahhhhhhhhhhh fudge it I had a long think about how I could find out what this car originally was........I know there are a tonne of different instrument panels for VL and all of them have their own part numbers, so I removed this one..... Part number 92024040 - 8VK (SL) 6 Cyl Eng Police Equipment It's looking like a Melbourne built Turbo Auto BT1, most likely in Alpine White, with Power Steering, Air Con, Calais interior light, FE2, LSD blah blah blah Poo's Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nice. Has it got a 1" master cylinder and vl turbo brakes ? No matter what you have some awsone parts to salvage off her. im guessing there is no way of ever getting its bt1 tags back. even if you do it would still have to end up on a different shell Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I had a feeling that it was a bt1 :-P. Just looked like it had extra relays by the battery. I always thought manuals had 1 relay and autos had 2, but this has 3? Thought it could have been for lights or siren. Probably completely wrong on this as ive never owned an auto vl and mine have only every had 1 relay. Aaron would probably kill me for selling it but im not using it :-P. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That would of been a fun drive with a crew of people. Whens the next meet ? Wouldn't mind checking out some good old classic holdens. I actually saw you as you were coming off the motorway turning right at the lights. was in my van tho On another note are there any suspension gurus that can point me in the right direction about a setup for my wagon. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Did almost 800kms round trip and none of the cars missed a beat hey just wanted to say a big thanks from the Taranaki Holden Club to all you guys who travelled from far and wide to be part of our first official club show. We had great weather and a variety of activities such as met at the local Holden dealership to hear about the future of holden production stoppage in australaisa, a show of local and national cars of great quality and age range. Dinner and band with the prizegiving and a drive to a local historical musem to finish on sunday. As with all first events there were some hiccups but to those who went feel free to give some feedback- most had a good time i think and we hope to have this event every two years at this stage. It was great to put a face to a calaisturbo nz forum member cheers Dan. i hope to be able to come up your way one day and be part of a vl cruise/show . as we saw theres not many around these days. three on show of 65 cars!! My car was not there because of poor planning and the fact i have to spend money on car at this time of year otherwise i miss out. And a big thanks again to peoples contributions to the calaisturbo site with invaluable info regarding everthing vl and turbo !!!!!! updating where my car is at, driveshaft loops installed . i ended up getting my certifier to do it as the loops i brought on trademe seemed impossible to to line up and i couldnt see where to mount the front especially. it ended up so neat i am glad to have done it - full tube steel with two pieces welded to mount. 4 bolts to mount each - seems so easy now i have seen it - pics to come and my turbo conversion is off and i have descided to address the leak in front windscreen that has been stopping me getting carpet and interior sorted so its now stripped of bumpers, lights, trims, chrome and door lock and handles !!! gonna go with the universal rubber and flick the original plastics. was good timing to get off the rear 1/4 window trims as there was some rust there with one side needing a patch. pics to come of that to. Cheers nigel Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey Nigel it was awesome to meet you You and your club really put on an awesome weekend and I'll definitely be back for the next one Yeah only 3 VL's from 65 cars is pretty disappointing...Considering that 1 was from Auckland, 1 from Thames and the Group A had no Rego or Wof since 2010 (but I can forgive it, because of it's Group A status ) Hope to see your car at the next one Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No problem mate, Yeah was pretty rusty! Na I didn't remove the dash to do the welding but I kept a very close eye on it and had a fire extinguisher handy (and a hose haha) also I took my time when welding and to be honest, stitching in the new panel didn't actually require too much welding. Gaz.

At this stage they will be staying hidden away in their boxes I've already got 3 sets of wheels which I have at any different time on the Wagon (Hubcaps, Momo Stars & Simmons V5's) so thought having a 4th set was abit over the top Plus to do them justice, a quality set of 19" tires will set me back a good thousand bucks and that's on a trade account.... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
