Well I didn't make PC. Been on a work course all week and had several niggling things about the current setup of the car. Just wasn't ready and it's not quite right in a few places yet. Also stuck at home studying for my exams next week So I did some online shopping and bought some new wheels. Something a little... different. Yet I think they will suit the shape and period of the car nicely. MOTHER RUSSIA!!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yep. Forged russian goodness. Found a set of 17x8 +35 in Japan. Will require some guard love and a bit of front camber to fit +35 to the VL but it's not impossible.[COLOR="Silver"]

Finally got around to putting on the new wheels today. Took me months to get around to it, probably because I don't drive it much while I'm so busy at uni. As you can see I also haven't cleaned it in some time... Here's how it turned out: The offset of +35 is somewhat "aggressive" for a VL (LOL). So when I lower it with my new coilover/adjustable setup I'll probably have to get the guards cut and fanned, or at least hammered into oblivion. I think the offset actually suits it pretty well, not trying to be JDM or anything, but I think the extra 15mm has given it a better look. Typically commodore rims sit pretty far inside the arches, I think I've just filled them a little better. It sits way too high at the moment though, as you can see from the second picture and the one below What's next? VENETIANS!!! I've had a set for a while, was going to get them painted up professionaly, but I've run out o fmoney. These venetians were only $200 though so I'll probably just prep, prime and enamel them from a can myself for the time being. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No lol. I still drive it sometimes, but times are a bit tight at the moment due to uni. I got a loan and got a 5 year old corolla for the daily duties Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the best bodykit the vl had imo. i really like this car, its not in your face with expensive paint and cheap chromies. its still got the original look to a tee. apart from the engine bay lol the rims are sweet too, sorta like walkys and momo stars. centre caps would top them off if they made them.

So much still to do, so little time haha. I finish my units at the end of next semester so I'll be onto reasonable engineering $ and will spend a bit here and there on this. Have several bits and pieces in various stages of readiness but as you say, no time or money. As for the LE kit, I just posted this up in a thread in the VL turbo section, not sure if I posted it in this thread already, but the flare kit was actually a dealer fitted option on this car. most of the car is still wearing its original paint. It's always been my intention to repaint it in the same colour after I graduate. For what it's worth... $35k! was not a cheap car back in 88! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So I got a message from sexy ol' Caibs on here with a link to a gumtree add on Friday a week ago. Called the guy and went straight there. Picked this up, with the original boss kit, for $100 thinking it might be worth 2x that... i got offered $750 within 20 hours. I'm going to restore it (leather treatment should bring it back to 90% for less than $100) and then I'm going to do my best not to sell it. Something like this doesn't come up too often. With a cleanup its probably worth over $1K Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nope you're wrong, I hadn't heard of regas, you were talking about works and I was googling them and found a conversation about regas, followed that up and found the link. I have the facebook convo to prove it you sneaky asian. I'm still looking for those Work "BRS Super" wheels. Starforms are hot AF, but I'm not going to pay $3k for a set of 25 year old jap wheels just because they are in 5x120 with HDT stamped on them.
