Aussie cars will have a full build tag, with engine, trans, axle, trim and paint codes on it. It is natural coloured ( ie not painted) Above will be a tag with the full VIN on it. On the LH shock tower will be a number starting in AVL or BVL, in addtion to this, some cars will have the broadcast sheet in the passengers or drivers footwell, sometimes both. Kiwi assembled VL's only have a small painted tag below the shock tower with the VIN, and the serial number, options are not stamped on the plate.

Nothing wrong with a fake anyway A fake Calais is better than an SL or Berlina I'd only bother converting a wagon though.

Strange...
How about the main Body Tag?
Calais will say "X19" whereas Berlina will say "L19"
