All you need is a 2.5inch - 3inch joiner, try get the longest one it makes so much easier!
No real modification was done and took under 30 minutes to swap.
One other thing you need to change is the Clamps on the cooler piping you need 3.5inch clamps as the inlets of the cooler are 3inch.

The thermo fan for the A/C is too thick for the intercooler to fit in the gap between the fan and the bumper bar reinforcement.
That said, you can either replace the fan with a thinner unit (the standard unit is around 10cm's thick) or simply trim the bumper bar reo.
