Ive done my fair share of stupid things, not overly stupid though. One that springs to mind is one time after working on my car I found my bonnet wasn't sitting properly when I closed it. So I tried to adjust the hinges and rubbers but to no avail. Put up with it for a few days then got the ****s and tried to adjust the bonnet again. Starting getting real angry then my missus pointed out that I left a screwdriver sitting on top of the strut tower. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

just did the stupidest thing just now. i pulled a lead off the spark plug and sat it on the rocker cover and started the engine. and as i was pulling the throttle cable i seen the the lead was falling on to the exaust manifold, i thought to myself that thing will fuckin melt on the mani. so i reached out and grabbed it.... zapped the SHIT out of me. still got a tingle in my arm. all this why my old man was watching. didnt tell me not to grab it......

touched a VT V6 coil. 60,000Volts through my finger tips. Needless to say dead nerve endings for life....also hot exhausts have attributed.

One time i was working over my geminis engine bay.. Putting a 32/36 weber on the engine.. I thought it was all done.. reached in to turn the car over while holding my finger on the throttle linkage, Bunnyhopped the car into the garage wall at mums place.. Lets say it needed some plaster work & I was counting my blessings the car didnt go right through the wall. Damn reverse.

i didn't let enough coolant out before taking the intake manifold off my rb30, ended up filling no. 1 cylinder intake port with coolant, lucky the valve was shut and i just soaked it all up and none got in

I Broke the ceramic on a spark plug while taking it out to check them over. As i pulled it out - some chunks fell into the cyl Damn #4 Cyl on RB30's is the hardest to get to! After some thinking, went and got the vacuum cleaner.. attachment way too big and not creating enough suction. Taped some garden hose on the end. Would get down into the sparkplug area, but not into the cyl. Taped a drinking straw on the end of the hose... Sucky sucky sucky... Hoped I got it all. Turned the motor on. *Clack* *Clack* *Clack* *Clack* *Clack*.... "F*CK!!!!!" said f*ck it... let just give it a drive and hope it shoots out the exhaust before doing any damage. As soon as it hit boost - gone Remember - becareful not to break spark plugs when taking them out!!! oh.. and i've done the "left the sump plug out" one before aswell. Once I realised it was mixed with all the old oil and all over the garage floor. Since the VL was my daily at the time - had to walk to the shops to buy more oil! brought a project vl with no motor or box found a 5spd manual box clutch all the accessorys to put it in, met up with the guy to buy it and forgot the clutch in his boot then brought a doner vl for the rb30 engine, had the hoist hooked up and cudnt figure out why the engine and auto wudnt come out, so kept jacking and jacking until snapped the mounts on the head, turns out 1 powersteering hose was attatched so now i have a useless engine so im going rb25det instead lol

I had the fuse cover off the fuse/relay box on the driver's side of the 33 and was tightening the main oil filter line up when my watch touched both the positive terminal under the cover and the throttle body. Trouble was, my hand was stuck (I had put some effort into wedging it in there to get to the fittings) and it took several goes and lots of swearing to get it out. All the while big sparks were flying and my arm was burning. I tore my watch off only to realise that the back of it was burning my other hand so i threw it on the ground and went to run cold water on my wrist. It looked okay till about 20 mins later. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
