well fixed the manifold leak just undid the 4 nuts on the turbo to manifold flange that gave me enough room to squeez some mani seal in there, tightened them back up, started it and walla!! no more leak fingures crossed it holds up

Nice progress... did u put a new gasket in the manfold flange as well?

na cbf pulling the whole thing off to much work if it leaks ill pull it all off and put new gaskets in there

LOL!!! i wish iv had nothing but headaches with this car now i cant get a brake pedal iv replaced nearly everything and still nothing I drove it up my street with the handbrake and hit 3 psi, and blew the turbo up turns out the nut on the front of the compressor wheel was fingure tight, so who ever put this turbo together is a ****wit so now i have to save for a new turbo as this one is completely shagged. and my daily just blew up yesterday so now have to fix that not having any luck with this **** at all over it baaaaad!!!!!!!!!

****!!! Sounds likenur havin a worse time than me man!! Well I'm going to pull down the turbo with a family friend who has built heaps of turbos and see what the damage is. Hopefully it's only seals and bearings. If so rebuild it this w.e and have it bak on the car next week. If not it goes in the bin and time to look for a new one and start saving And just to set things straight. I'm not going for any big power figures out of this thing So don't expect to see 300+rwkw I don't have the money to fund that power figure, remember guys I'm working with a budget here it's just gona b a clean cruiser that has enough power to have a bit of fun in Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well turbo is completely shagged! core is ****ed, wheels ****ed and shafts ****ed time for a new turbo im thinking of just slapping the old turbo back on for now just so i can drive it and put the box in ect CLEAN IT! lol and then that way i can at least drive it, I havnt driven it in 9 and a half months!! so kinda hanging for it lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just get a cheap turbo, such as a KKR430 or 480. You can get them brand spanking for under $1000. I have a 430 on mine, kinda wishing I bought the 480 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

cars back on the road FINALY! been driving it to work for the past week, feels so good to drive it again everythings better now, very nice to drive I will get some pics up asap, doesnt look like much cos its got my mates ****ty 17" stockys on it, but only untill i get my tyres for my 19's Auto goes in within the next week rims should be on just before the nats entered nats today aswell, so all is looking good! Ye I'm very happy with them when I rang vicroads and they said they were still avalable, I couldn't believe it!!! I thought of them when I was in high school and just always asummed that they were gone

been prity lazy with keeping this thread up to date, so here's a few updated pics for anyone interested very slowly getting there, only got iphone shots so not the best quality pics got the jatco 3 speed in and the b&m pro ratchet in all over a weekend that was a bit of fun, thanks heaps to Jerome (GMH-JC) for the shifter box to sit the b&m in the standard console, saved alot of time, anyone planning on doing it, I strongly suggest gettn one off him new setup, GT30/40, TAIL 38mm gate on standard manifold http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...021379 _n.jpg (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs357.snc3/29473_10150201308695537_687645536_12391335_3021379_n.jpg) After 2 weeks of the new auto going in the pump seal in the auto shat itself, so just waiting another week to get some $$$$ together to get that done. Also I cant get 15degress timing, i can only get it to like 8 before the dizzy bottoms out, i tried moving the dizzy over a tooth each way but it onlt makes it worse, so i think i have to pull the timming belt off and do it again, as i think its a tooth out. Then another few weeks and some more saving $$$$ and its off to get tuned with new injectors cant wait! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

3 speed is fixed! timming is fixed car goes awsome now now saving for a tune!!!!! hopefully in the next few weeks
