Avgas= waste of money, Bp Ultimate is just as good, and C16 anywhere from $7 per litre to $10 a litre, depending on quantity and who you get it off. A 20 litre drum is usually about $180-$200 depending. You can buy E85 ethanol from the BP depot's down syd and melb I think, I know you can get it in sydney, its about $185 for 200 litres and equivelent to 110 race fuel. Cars in teh states are making big power with it. Failing that, I'd be running 50/50 pump fuel and tolulene for the street and C16 only for racing, high comp takes about .5 of a second to destroy a healthy engine with poor tuning.

that e85 ethonal sounds pretty sweet at that price is it legal to drive on the street with it? does it need anything done to the fuel lines/ fuel pump will it destroy the cat converter?

I presume so, seeing as how its available in the US out of the bowser, and has less harmful sh1t in it than normal unleaded, yes, I would say 100% that its street legal. I have no idea on cat converter, altho I don't think it should be any problem, seeing as how many modern cars run on it in the US, I think even BMW's and other new cars can run on it off the showroom. In general, you will need to modify the fuel system. It will require 40-60% more flow than normal fuel, consider it similar to methanol, but you don't need 2.2 times as much, same goes for fuel pump, you will need an extra 40-60% more capability than what you would need for your hp target on normal fuel. Also, prob best to run steel lines and keep an eye on rubber lines, as I think it may eat it. You'd be best to google it for info. 6BOOST

yeh heard it eats up rubber. think steel lines are the way to go. 1 question, how quickly does it eat the rubber?

ok So i just bought a hi-flo to bolt on with my setup. Its obviously a n/a conversion. running standard vlt gear (jectors, comp, manifold ect..) Im running a 044 pump and a malpassi, and a cooler. Just wondering how much should i be able to wind up the boost to?? Obviously when i was going to run a t3 the most i would have gone was 11 or 12psi, but with this hi-flo, i should be able to go more yea??

guy's e85 is legal for use on the streets just not aproved forsale by the government yet it has less polutants so it will be approved soon it will not hurt cat's if tuned correctly it has between 110 and 112 ron it is higher in oxygen content and you will use 1.6-1.8 litres to 1 litre more than 98 it cant be left sitting in your tank for more than 1 month without going off and then corroding and gelling up as to 9.0/1 ba's run 9.5/1 and 20 psi all the time on bp ultimate/mobil 8000 300rwkw easy on rebuilt na with cam and good turbo now out of curiosity what is the fastest mx7 gearbox'd vl in the country and also the fastest mx7 hicomp?

fasest mx7 would be exchaser, few years ago now and been converted to an auto since, was making around 350rwkw and ran 10.5* (think .56). dont know what the fasest mx7 hicomp is, why mx7 inparticular? most ppl use r33 rb25det 5sps now days, as they have better gear ratios and are newer. if u just ment h-patten manual, whonxt is the fastest with 9.5 and a std r33 gearbox.

Most aftermarket pistons I have seen have been between those figures and the only thing I have seen over is custom. 20psi and 9:1 is fine, it just needs a good size cam and correct tuning, we will retune Ollie's car in 2 weeks on 21-22psi and hope to run a 10.7 on pump and streets. THATS WHAT A CUSTOMER WANTED TO KNOW OOPS CAPS! think he wants to match or beat it! the r33 has better syncros and thus is a quicker shift Quote: Originally Posted by 6BOOST The BA engine runs 8.5:1 compression, and the BF 8.8:1.
