just thought id post up a pic of the interior thanks to nzvlcom i now have the centre console and drivers side dash panel in. im still undecided about the boot around the gear lever i have one of the factory boots but i may just leave it how it is. as for the rest of the interior it will be repainted in the same colour and a few panels will be vinyled in the same colour aswell providing i can match the colour . i think ill get the rear seat recovered to match the front one and then i have a few little tricks and ideas i want to try out but mainly keep it looking relatively stock Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

With the gas stays, there's a thread here somewhere saying to use the VL Wagon tailgate struts- they're ok but I've found they're a bit to stiff for the Bonnet (tailgate is much heavier). The part number (for Stabilus) is HC7, I emailed them the other day asking if they've got one the same length but a bit softer. The guy said the HC7 is about 400N (i'm guessing it means Newtons - Force), but they do have them in a lower force - he recommended to try 250N (although he didn't give a part number), he gave me the phone number for Gas Strut Services in Te Atatu South so I'm gonna try and go there in the next few weeks and suss out some new ones. If you show your car say like at Kumeu,GM show etc and you have your bonnet up and the wind catches it ! Happened to a walky next to me at the first GM show

but the struts will hold it, stop it from flying back wouldn't they? i'd only expect it to fly away with the standard bonnet stay?
