Everything moves faster when there's money involved mate, gobbies are pretty useful for occupying the time between when the car goes and when it comes back though.

On time and on budget. Can't go wrong with Anth!

Yeah dude got that tech sheet, tah. The content is great, I'll give you a bell and talk about the build and it'll be 100%.
That or I could make up stories like you won the car in a game of poker and paid for the mods with your profits from the sale of Ivory.

How cool is this!
After a week long stay with Anthony on the Maatouks' hoist I now have a running, driving VL Turbo! Anthony was kind enough to tick many things off the list including sorting us out with the diff and fixing our issues with the clutch.
To give you a blow-by-blow account. We had sourced all that we required for the diff (or so it seemed) and thought that building it would simply be a matter of out with the old and in with the new. What we'd struck though were dodgy traders through the forums and wound up with the incorrect diff centre, a gear set of questionable quality and of a less serious matter, axles with no bearings. Anthony sorted it all though and has pieced together a machine of a rear end.
Next up was the clutch. This had given us grief from day dot and we'd blamed everything from the slave cylinder to the actuator rod, my dodgy hydraulic bleeding job to the throw out bearing and even a collaped pressure plate! What it of course ended up being was the fact that as a clutch builder I make an excellent semi-profressional recreation drinker, and whilst pulling the clutch apart to inspect it had put it back together the wrong way. The lesson? A sixer of Jim Beam Zeroes and a precise operation like building a HKS twin plate clutch don't go together. With that sorted though the clutch got the big thumbs up from Anth.
Racing is supposed to be on at WSID tonight which means that the gates at the Condell Park compound will be shut and the boys at the track. We'll go around tomorrow though with a radiator cap (isn't it always the smallest things) and chuck this big, old girl onto the dyno!
Maximum excitement!

You see Ank, while his wheels say 'Circuit Racing' and stress the importance of lap time, we all know that his heart will forever be on the GH (ganga hunt) and while he's stuck at Oran Park, he's wishing he was on George Street...
