My tag is exactly the same - think we mentioned this in another thread a couple of weeks back. I stressed a little when I first noticed it, cos I also noticed the holes on the firewall where the Australian build tags go. Wondered if I had bought something dodgy! Looks like you might have a bit of cancer under there tho.

yep thats the norm with nz assembled VLs,normally theres a "dulux" sticker next to it with your build details on,but like most of ours its aged and fallen off with the heat drying glue out,or been taken off by someone before you.

When you say NZ assembled, were they actually assembled in NZ, as in imported as CKDs or just the cars destined for NZ? I was pissed off when I tried to use the VIN calculator on this website to find out my code meant nothing My car still had the Dulux sticker on it...up until I got the whole thing blasted! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah there was an assembly plant here, can't remember where exactly.. I think I have it in a book somewhere. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yes, Imported CKD then assembled in GMH's trentham plant using some local components, oh, and a workforce that couldnt give a ****. Aussie assembled cars destined for NZ got full build plates but no compliance plate, 3.0 models also had the emissions gear deleted, with the exception of the O2 sensor. There were a handful of 2.0 models assembled in Aus (with full build plates) until trenthams production of the 1.9 VK stopped.

I'd be happy with $85 haha he's the manager for frostboss wind machines for vineyards. they have their own sparky and workshop their so everythings at cost and the dudes are quiet helpful to do perkies Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I havn't seen an O2 sensor on any VL I've looked at Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.. all vl's ive had the 02 wires have been cut, so they must give troubles. although mine ran like a piece of crap without it when i turboed it. cost me $438 from ripco i think, and the plug wouldnt fit as the plastic had warped from the heat of the exhaust manifold!!!!. yea you shoulda seen the alternator on the vk! dont jump a car in reverse polarity. it blew the thing to pieces and smoke everywhere lol.

Quote: I havn't seen an O2 sensor on any VL I've looked at Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.. Most of them wouldnt have them anymore, Again they were only on Imported SL/Berlina/Calais 3 Litre models. Few cars got imported due to the massive cost difference.
