Thanks for the offers of help guys. I'm still to find out what the go is with insurance but basically I'm going to try to find a mint VLC shell and interior for a good price and drop all my driveline in as soon as i can... It will wait until i find the right shell so it could be weeks, months, years until RB30DEBT V2 graces the street. Hopefully that's not the case as I am proud of the fact that I was streeting the calais as much as I possibly could. I will defo be calling for help if/when i find a suitable shell tho and rest assured I doubt this will be the end. Thanks again for all the msgs, calls, help, reassurance, and well wishes it has been very uplifting to realise the car was bigger than just me... Cheers. Chris.

Went to the doc's today guys, have whiplash, soft tissue damage r/h chest, back strain and leg bruising - so i'm ok! :P Insurance company insisted that the car get towed to local smash repair joint and it's been declared a write off. Now I have to negotiate buying the wreck back, has anyone done this before?? Hopefully they don't want too much for it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Who are you insured with? After my last accident I made the insurance company deal with me for my inconvenience I was having. Even though my car still drove I made them visit my house to inspect. I also had my choice of repairer quote to fix, although mine wasn't a write off. As much as the insurance company wanted to take the car to their place I would not allow it incase anything went missing etc. If they have decided its a write off make sure they are already aware that you want to buy it back. And keep ringing to remind them so it doesn't slip away
