Had a good look over this at the vlt nats. Was definitely one of the better put together cars there. No shortcuts taken at all. Shame you didn't get a bit more track time as it sounded tough as from the hill

Guess its time for a bit of an update. Dry sump pump has arrived, oil tank and filters should be here this week, and if old mate Troy sends me his address I will send the sump off to be modified for the 5 stage pump. The diff, well hasnt that been just one thing after another, bought the diff out of KIL351, definetly to short for what i needed, so the housing spool and axels have been shipped off to a well know gas car in the hope of straighter launches, and a new wavetrac center (same deal as a tru trac) 35 spline has been ordered from the states to sit in the new, now wider than standard diff housing. Got a set of coil overs to go in the rear that will need the cage to be extended into the boot area to pick up the mount points. Front end has been completely rebuilt from later model struts, converted to coil over wheel track has been increased, everything is rose jointed and adjustable. Almost finished I believe so the old coil over setup can be sold off if anyone is interested. Not sure if I posted up the power it made before, but on AVO's dyno on 30psi it made 570rwkw, probably got more boost in it if we needed it, but definetly getting turned down to around 20-25psi for the track, i think less is more for the start anyway, turn it up as we sort the car. The car apperance is sure to change in the next few months, as all these wider parts and tyres are going to need to fit in the gaurds, not as easy for the track boys to simply tub it to the rails, as wider is faster around the corners. Still a ton of work to do, but hopefully on the track this year in some form or another. ---------- Post added 19-07-10 at 08:55 ---------- Big thumbs up to pigsy for all the help on the dry sump setup and the links for the parts, champion.

nah not yet, not all ready yet. Hopefully in a few weeks, depends on how long the diff takes to get done really, then have to get wheels made, then modifiy the body to some extent, not sure how much exactly yet, certainly going to look different, hopefully tough.

Good, I think we a sharing a similar image, definetly be making sure it doesnt just look like an slr5000 torana. Yeah brakes are all sorted for now, some fine tunning of masters and balance bar on the track, but i think its a fairly good place to start from where it is now.

Nah stuck witht the same masters, I would have to check the masters size, 6 piston fronts, and 4 pistons on the rear calipers

Ok so the old bloke doing the suspension is flying along now and should only really be a week or 2 away from fitting front end and the diff housing so we can get the chassis mods done. Early measurements are looking like the outside to outside of the rear tyres could be as wide as 2m. Should look failry tough that fat, could also be losing some ground clearance with the new setup.
