Front end is in and semi set up. Just quickly pulled and easy 5 degree camber and round 8 degrees castor, and that swith out chopping the front bar, yet. Stance is now 40mm out of the guards each side, its huge now. 9 Inch has been kind of sorted out now, got the center in with a set of 4.28's for the mean time, probably try to get some track time at winton to get the suspension setup sorted, gears will suit the track perfect there. Got a set of 3.7's on order for the faster tracks aswell, Phillip Island, Sandown and Eastern Creek. All the lower arms are made and ready to go, oped into all race for a price on the cage mods to pick up front and rear ralis and suspension points. Diff man tells me it should be 100% by the end of next week, Pigsy assures me the sump will be ready by Jambo weekend to be picked up, nice work mate. Hopefully a few more weeks and the cage will be finished, back down to the paint shop for the 3rd time and the wheels will be ordered. Fingers crossed.

Dry sump pump has arrived, oil tank and filters should be here this week, and if old mate Troy sends me his address I will send the sump off to be modified for the 5 stage pump. The diff, well hasnt that been just one thing after another, bought the diff out of KIL351, definetly to short for what i needed, so the housing spool and axels have been shipped off to a well know gas car in the hope of straighter launches, and a new wavetrac center (same deal as a tru trac) 35 spline has been ordered from the states to sit in the new, now wider than standard diff housing. Got a set of coil overs to go in the rear that will need the cage to be extended into the boot area to pick up the mount points. Front end has been completely rebuilt from later model struts, converted to coil over wheel track has been increased, everything is rose jointed and adjustable. Almost finished I believe so the old coil over setup can be sold off if anyone is interested. Not sure if I posted up the power it made before, but on AVO's dyno on 30psi it made 570rwkw, probably got more boost in it if we needed it, but definetly getting turned down to around 20-25psi for the track, i think less is more for the start anyway, turn it up as we sort the car. The car apperance is sure to change in the next few months, as all these wider parts and tyres are going to need to fit in the gaurds, not as easy for the track boys to simply tub it to the rails, as wider is faster around the corners. Still a ton of work to do, but hopefully on the track this year in some form or another. ---------- Post added 19-07-10 at 08:55 ---------- Big thumbs up to pigsy for all the help on the dry sump setup and the links for the parts, champion. no probs mate happy to help out as l do with all good people ,who arn't idiots, be good to see it all set up don't forget to send me some pics of the inside l forgot to take some ,pigsy

fuck all progress at the moment unfortunatly, suspension is about sorted and is looking really good. Wheels should be ordered this week and then off to the cage blokes for yet more cage work to tie in the new suspension.

Ok so for progress reports, fuck all has happened still, if anything its actually going backwards. Suspension is done apart from sway bars still. Engine is out for the sump and pump to be fitted, having a minor clearance issue with the dry sump pump at the moment, nothing a grinder wont fix no doubt. Body work is going to start next week on a spare shell I have as soon as I can get it in the garage, which means cleaning up all my sh1t, which isnt a favorite past time of mine. Going to build the kit up and the spare one, then take moulds of everything for spares and fit it to the race car. Wheels should only be a week or 2 away now, 18x12's. Aparrently not all that common and needed to be made. Few other bits and peices to do still, car is off to all race on the 22nd to get the cage finished off, needs to basically pick up rear suspension points for strength. Then more or less oil lines, tidy up and try to get it to the track. Hopefully by January it will be back looking like a car that should be near a race track.

Quick photo update, dry sump pump fitted, with 3mm spare to the engine mount. Work on the body kit has started on the spare shell, might actually look ok when its done. Spent most of my holidays so far doing the drive way to the shed, and helping a mate with retaining walls, this week should be pretty much free for the VL. Have to finish the rear firewall, it has to be totally fuel tight for cams regs. Engine bay is getting yet another coat of paint due to exhaust heat issues and the fact the cage has come through into the engine bay now. Ill try to keep the pics comming. Sway bars are set to get started once the engine is back in, should be some trick sh1t if Brian can get it to work out. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
