07-06-13, 21:24 GMT+10#361 ahok, vb-vk 202 and v8 kframes are same, and are as far as i know, no conversion mounts are available for them type kframes
and looking at that last pic, intermediate shaft is fair far off to the drivers side
are they the only pics u have? my guess is, the chassis rail is slightly notched to get the rack over far enough so the intermediate shaft doesnt hit the rail, bit of a guess though based on the angle, or lack of, with the intermediate shaft

09-06-13, 17:17 GMT+10#362 nice pics above would be good to see some with no pipes in place from above and below.
Rack looks like it has been moved like you said as the steering shaft looks close the rail by pics as long as it dont touch who cares how close it is

yer, and if the chassis has been notched by owner, a future perspective buyer might have a *** winge about it
even without worrying about pipe clearance, with tuffmounts and rack moved over (so intermediate shaft was literally 1.5-2mm from rail) when using a powersteering rack, there wasnt enough room to fit the starter, i tried...was a vn not vl as i previously mentioned, but virtually same-same in that area...& i tried with both the std starter and a MSD mini starter, (which isnt even "mini" lol)
...on a side note, the shaft on the rack that the intermediate shaft slides over, appears to be on a different angle, and different length, between the p/steer and manual steering racks...

10-06-13, 00:57 GMT+10#365 those photos above look like it fits with ease on a ps rack.
Unless the rack is moved one side and even the engine is a little more over towards the passenger side lol

yeah thats possable forsure, we want more pics tuxedo! lol
also a pic to rule out weather or not the chassis rail has been notched
im keen to hear somones opinion on shaft position between p/steer and manual racks, where the intermediate shaft bolts up, like weather the position varies, judging by pics ive seen, they seem fair different, and a manual intermediate shaft is different to a p/steer one so i assume they are

10-06-13, 17:38 GMT+10#367 That's the only other pic I can get that shows that area. I don't really know much about the car, I have just seen it at Virginia burnouts, MallaNats and Facebook. It's owned and built by Clicks Racing.

10-06-13, 19:02 GMT+10#370 I've bought Pacemaker headers for My conversion, also using Pacemaker mounts to guarantee fitment. I'm also running a TH350 with a CAE cross member and CAE starter relocation kit.

i used a accord / prelude radiator and fans (dual) and it is perfect orientation for outlets and fans are high quality Japanese items not the junk that usually accompanies the cheaper el au fans around.
$120 all up from wreckers.

24-06-13, 18:35 GMT+10#375 Update on my car. Took it out to the Drags on street tyres (cheap 235 19's) and did an 11.9 @ 116... Got some more in it with some traction off the line..

26-06-13, 10:45 GMT+10#377 Pipes fit perfectly with the pacemaker mounts. The pipes alone cost around $870 I think

I'm using the cae starter conversion with a powerglide.
Bought my pipes from VPW for about $770
