MAJOR issues... got it all together...
can't get dizzy cap on... something is terribly wrong here...
need to get this car driveable tonight...
I just got it on, but smashed the dizzy cap...
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
lower pipe is almost touching the ground...
GREG last chance to give me a hand or ill leave bad feedback...
pipework does NOT fit like the first pics i posted weeks ago, i removed the powersteering hose, but the turbo out pipe is hitting the fan shroud, the other pipe is hitting the air con compressor...
seems like these kits need to be cut to fit?
I bought one of these kits ages ago, MY car with POWER STEERING and AIR CON, fitted perfectly with no issues, you either have the pipes in incorrect locations, or havent fitted it correctly.
Mine cleared dizzy cap fine, did not hit on the fan shroud or hit on the compressor
Mad Wog, your top pipe looks like it sits down real low compared with the pics other people have posted. Other ones sit up off the rocker cover and above the dizzy cap. Is there room for adjustment?

I agree, I got a kit not long ago and have decided to change it. The pipes needed ALOT of modification to get them to fit and still looked dogdy and the bottom pipes looked shonky as. Got my tuner to see if it was me and he couldn't fix it either nor could my exhaust/fabricator man without changing the pipes.
I'm a mechanic too.

yeah, mine is hard up againsed the dizzy cap.
i'm unable to move the pipe up at all, as if i do, it pushes the whole lot back. and makes the si hose that goes on the throttle body bend way out of shape. and also it hits the fan shroud (thats hwo it gets pushed back)
i'll have to cut and modify the top pipe also to get some adjusement on the actual dizzy (the pipe is between 2 plugs on the dizzy and can't be moved)
the pipe that comes off the turbo had to get 1" taken off it and another si hose placed there to get it to fit.

dnt me wrong im not bagging u or anything but could it be the cooler is mounted in the wrong spot eg to far forward or bak under lights? just trying to find a solution for ya
I just used rubber hose that was about 150mm long. put it between the pipes that run down the radiator.
That way the top pipe goes over the top of the dizzy cap.
mad wog your cooler pipes dont fit because you have a n/a plenum and the throttle body sits further back therefore thats why its hitting the dizzy..... nudge nudge wink wink

Do you think that posting on a forum is the best way to communicate with me? I rarely check forums, hence the reason that you haven't had a response.
The best way to communicate is to either email me or phone me, this is a direct form of communication.
Didn't we chat months ago before I went overseas and you were going to swap the pipes over? I haven't heard from you since. My number hasn't changed and neither has the address.
Greg

Did you contact us or did you expect me to read your mind?
