Finally got around to fixing the back window. It is a 2 man job. For those interested, we pulled out the regulator, determined which way the cable should be wound on the drum (look closely at cable drum, there is a block that makes it more difficult for the cable to go one way rather than the other) The cable closest to the door is wound clockwise, approx 2 winds (if regulator is mounted to door and your looking at it from outside of the car with the door closed) The cable on the outerside is wound approx 2 times in the opposite direction. We then duct taped the cable on to the drum so that it didn't spring off until we were ready. We used nuts and bolts to hold the regulator in until we were happy with the install, then pulled them out one at a time and replaced the first with a pop rivet, then the second and so on until all three were rivets were in. Will post pics soon Car is also booked in for a roadworthy in 2 weeks - so getting close now Gif of correctly installed rhr vl window reg https://imgur.com/gallery/1nbxjThis is the a picture with the cable wound in the wrong directions; The correct path for the cables (for a rhr door, manual window); https://imgur.com/3FOOLiP Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
