03-04-13, 17:45 GMT+10#21 when mine was popping farting and cutting out it was everything haha. my error was always buying second hand stuff on the cheap then the next vl i got was restored with genuine parts (mostly 20+ years old) as soon as it started running in it all went to buggery.
a trip to a very experienced rb mechanic and the car has run smoothly ever since.

i don't get it, it was running perfectly, idled a little rough and took ages to warm up but still, no complaints, bring on the maccas run at 2am and pfft car sh**ts itself? it's now been garaged for 3 weeks trying all new parts?

04-04-13, 09:14 GMT+10#23 Might be time to get someone to have a look at it. There's plenty of people who know VL's as you can see by the size of the Calaisturbo community and reputable mechanics who can sort it out.
I wouldn't be taking the car to a Holden Service Center unless you like having a light purse.
