To run low 10's in most dynoes here you probally need 400-440rwkw.. to go 136-140 ish mph xx vlt..you the dude at the gate at mallanats? cheers darern Didn't know that, cheers for the info. The breakages yo are referring to are diff or gearbox?

Best advise is to know your car, i have done thousands of km's in it as i've had it for 10years now. You get to know the engine's power range by feel, not looking at the rpm... if that makes sense? I really wanted to try et streets, but there just as dear as slicks and with a manual vl they need as much traction as possible in my eyes anyway. Auto is a lot different and easy. My misses could run 9's in my new car. I'm thinking of giving the nitron another run down there soon in nearly stock form apart from hiflow t3/4, small cam, cooler, 3" should go a 12** ---------- Post added 11-12-12 at 13:47 ---------- As for breakages i did approx 40 passes over a few years at the track 1/8 and 1/4 and broke 3 tail shafts, 2 cw/pinion sets, twisted one axle, 6 or 7 clutches, 2 mx7 gearboxes. tore lower control arm off diff housing(caught it just in time) bent all rear wheel studs... some of that was on the street tho Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Put a 9 inch in it...that will sort out a lot of probs,re axles/diff sets/tailshaft and uni joints.. the borg warner is more than half the problem, auto no worries, manual..worries..lol stick a borgy in it and its a ticking time bomb no matter what you do.. ---------- Post added 11-12-12 at 19:49 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by xAsh- [View Post] Didn't know that, cheers for the info. Everything... axles, pinions, uni's, tailshafts. ---------- Post added 11-12-12 at 19:54 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by vltnitron [View Post] When I run 10.2 with the manual it had 385kw at wheels what mph did it do with all the interior in it, i can;t remember

Just be aware..though its to late, hydraulic camshaft choice between auto and manual can be a issue re: lifter pump up..a auto holds the revs up near peak power all the way down the track rather than a manual going up and down a bigger rev range..so the auto is more picky when it comes to cam sizing to minimise lifter pump up

Thanks jet r31 I agree cam is for manual at the mo big rev range just bought 1.06 rear housing for my 35/40 Keeny is on the lifter pressure so he says if and when I venture auto I will choose and install cam to suit I appreciate the great info mate happy to take all good advice mate what's some specs on ur beast would like to know thanks

On this build **** knows, robby at RMF did cage and 4 link, good mate built this motor, the rest i can do myself or my brother or friends could do ..I just have no time..If i had time, all i really need someone for would be hi-load tuning, **** know who will do that..have to finish it anyway first, atm its just a pile of very expensive parts. Trust me your car would be just as good in the fun factor, if i could go back in time i would have my old low 10s sec package back any day of the week over all this **** i have now , and pocket the VAST amount of change..lol, it was a simple recipe that worked and was effective, yet made gobs of power and if i leant on it it would have gone something like mid 9's at upper 140's I mean i don't know your setup, but if you step up to a auto later and want to go faster go something like a Precision 7175 and then LEAVE it alone..lol cheers darren
