Im with Russ.Ve looks great but couldnt justify the price tag. theres alot more bang for ur bucks in an F6. AND with a few bucks left over to drop it off at herrod motorsport for a couple of mods

Not that great really is it? if they'd built a yellow VE, based on an Omega for example, with all the nice go fast bits, and a base model trim, on omega interceptor wheels, i'd say it would more so resemble the real thing.

My thoughts: its a parts car the had some parts left over from stock-take so they slapped them on ten cars and painted it yellow made up a web page and bingo the interceptor was bourn. cheap easy way to make money and build the name with a little market research on the side ( face it you dont like every holden thats been made n its the same with HDT a little for every one

MX Grey bars, 6 spd manual gearbox, door moulds in mx grey A V6 MOTOR! with a snail strapped to it and 16inch interceptors! I would buy one and respect the bloke for that.

But does that mean Joe Blogs who knows nothing about cars, but just bought a new SS-V for 60k+ because it had leather fitted, gps and a rear view camera from factory, is then going to drop it off to HDT (and a cheque for what i assume to be around 15k) for the hell of it? Put simply, no. You would have to be an enthusiast to get this work done. But either way, it seems as close as you'll get to an interceptor with a new ve, while still retaining the novelty of a new car (and hitting that market). The cars are made to order though, so personally if i was to buy one i'd lose the scoop, and add a blower.

Did HDT ever supply BT1's to the Police Force? Same as the rest of the current HDT stuff.. its not a performance company like it used to be. Like making the new stars but only making them in 8.5" wide. All about selling products to make money, no passion involved.

As if the new HDT body kits weren't garish enough in the plain colours

I don't think you cleared much up... but have another go, I think I got what you were going for before my brain imploded trying to figure out what you were getting at.

Love to see some proof of that. By proof I mean, not my uncles, uncle was a hwy patrol officer and he said rubbish. I had an idiot swear to me once that his VX SS being ex cop had a "chip". I pulled the tune and show him that the 1's and 0's were exactly the same as a stock tune. He still doesn't believe me. This is the hysteria that surrounds BT1's. There is a book with all the specs done by Brock and it has the spec of the work done for the police pac cars(will be for some police state cars only I recon) will have a hunt up for who wrote it.I think it was done by Barry Lake? Cheers Marty
