Put my pinstripes on a few weeks ago. Look the goods imo. Got bored so I had some fun in MS Paint lol, if only I could actually afford to do this Should have all my exhaust bits soon, got exams on atm so I'm pretty busy. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So update time I guess. Put my extractors and 2.5" catback exhaust on, car wasn't starting after I put it on but managed to sort out the problem, was a ****ed up lead from the CAS to the coil so I fixed it up and she started running perfect, anyway after that since it was sitting at my mate's house for a night I thought I'd better get it home. Long story short lost my licence on mona vale road for speeding (I was overtaking some guy in a wagon so I could get to the left lane to turn) Got clocked at 102 in an 80... Completely my fault, feel like **** especially after only just getting it up and running. Got 3 months to clean the grease off it I guess now. Sucks.

Been awhile since I've posted in here. Done a bit lately. Did a photoshoot with my mate a couple of months ago, got some nice pictures of the old girl. Gave the car a service and started painting/neatening up some things. As you can see bellow the rear end of my car was looking a bit sad because it's in the sun most of the day so I have started tearing bits off to restore them. Restored my badges, came up nice. Before: After, still haven't finished them in this pic though: Tore off my eye brow moulds as well to find a nice present of rust underneath. Sanded it out (took ages), hit it with some rust converter as well just to be safe Hit it with some primer, just gonna leave it like that most likely because the strips cover it up. And painted these today: On the look out for a replacement tail light atm then I can paint them and my garnish. Picked up another rear bar with less cracks in it as well but it's a bit scratched so I'm not sure if I'll just throw it on or paint it yet. Sorry for so many pictures lol. -Alex Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers mate. Pulled the badges off and gave them a sand so that it was all scuffed and no silver was there, I think I used 400grit dry. Hit it with wax and grease remover, gave it like 4 light coats of satin black, let it dry for a day then went over the letters with a silver paint pen that I got from the newsagent. Can take a few coats of the pen to get it right. Then clear. On the eyebrow moulds I used "Gloss Black" enamel from supercheap and enamel clear, they turned out a really nice colour actually.

thanks for that. Agreed on the result of both the badges and moulds, they look really good.

HSC around the corner but have still been tinkering on the car a little bit. Fixed the odometer and horn the other week! ODO required some skillful gluing but it works now, I'm very pleased. Rego is due end of the month, so gotta start giving the car a ground up detail so that it's ready for pink slip (Haven't even washed it since like April lol) Just won a replacement tail light off ebay (FINALLY) hopefully have it in a few days, then I can strip the lights/garnish off for some fresh paint. Then after the detail I'll throw all my bits back on that are sitting around the house lol. Stuff I need to do before rego are:replace brake fluid and bleed brakes (Never done this before, but really needs doing) Full wash/polish/clean engine bay/interior put all the badges etc back on Should be back to cruising and such as of next month. Working 12 hours a week now so have an income too lol. And a post isn't a post without a photo, mate took this one. Been doing lots of work on my mate's new car lately, '89 E34. Stereo install is almost done on it, goes alright for a boat with an M20 and slushbox auto. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I spend way too much time on this thing lol, I should really be studying instead but anyway I just got my pink slip and rego done today! Detailed the car - wash and first time I've polished the whole thing - came up MINT! Cleaned the interior (Made good use of the Jiff) and I have fallen back in love with the car now seeing it all back together in its clean 80s glory. Bled the brakes and topped up the P/S fluid and a few other things and it's much better to drive now. Still have to put my boot badges on and unfortunately my replacement tail light didn't get here on time so I had to put the old gear back in for my pink slip but when I finally get my tail light I'll repaint them and the garnish and it should be all good. Didn't really take many pics while working on it but I got these, lol. She was looking pretty sad for awhile there... Cheers, Alex. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Dropping in with some updates. :P HSC is all done and dusted (Marks are released tomorrow actually ) Been working and cruising and stuff for the last few weeks. Picked up a strut brace for cheap awhile back, made the nose a tad more predictable which was good. Wasn't super determined to buy new wheels but I like to check every once and a while, so when these walkies came up for cheap with mint Yokohama 225's on them I jumped on them, got them for a steal! Also recently gave it a wash (Rare occurrence these days) Pulled the stone chip protectors and stuff off and gave everything a good clean up so the lights should hopefully work a bit better as well. My favourite photo of it at the moment: That's about it for now, hope you all like it, I know I do haha. -Alex. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers man, imageshack is being weird so I can't post any more photos showing the wheels but they look much cooler in person. The top photo is in the Bunnings carpark at supacenta, bottom two are Frenchs Forest. Only go to beacon hill if I'm going to the mall these days haha. I need to do another photoshoot of the car with a proper camera soon somewhere.

Considered polishing them Dougall83 but I didn't think it'd suit the car. I work in Forestville so I'm around there a lot. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Fixed my A/C hiss problem today!!! So pleased. There was a split in one of the vacuum hoses going onto the back of the control panel thing, so I got my hobby knife, cut off the end of the hose where it had the split, then put it back on as it was, put the dash back together (Which took a long ass time because I HAD to clean the dust off everything) and then did some tests and so far the hiss is gone! Also picked up some parts recently, the car is due for a service next week then the week after that or so, I will be doing some suspension mods. All that's left to pickup is an adjustable panhard rod, and a thicker front sway bar (I'm thinking 27mm with urethane bushes might be stiff enough) Will update more when the time comes. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
