hey guys there is such a thing as a genuine HJ GTS ute they were optioned from factory my old man had one from new in 1974 special order but it is the only ute model you could get the option in GTS as far as im aware and only avail in 308 5 litre manual as a sandman had the option of 253 auto/ manual trans or 308 auto trans/manual they came in the same colours as the sandman but didnt wear the black decals up the sides only around the bottom check your numbers on your id plates there is more then enough info on the net in regards to the identification of a GTS, if i was you id be turfing the drive train and building a tuff 5 litre and 4 speed finding out the factory colour and bringing it back up genuine it would be worth more coin as a genuine spec ute if orginal then as it sits now all being if it is definatly a GTS ute hope this helps

Your old man might have had something with dealer stickers, it wasn't a GTS ute. Dealers often added 'dealer packs' which were based from a certain model but then would add decals, wheels and other bits and pieces but it was still that model it was originally built as.
