Mmm carbo fibre ai, il try and find ya the specs duke of the tailshaft length and yoke spline/diameter. Is that 1 or 2 piece? Also is that including the yoke for around the $1000 mark? Wat u mean by the couple at both ends that need sorting out?

1 piece mate. I had one made for my VX sedan in the states. The sedan is longer than the monaro/gto that you can get. It was $1400 + delivery.. just went over my invoice etc. Rated at 10,000rpm and weigh 6.4kgs with billet yokes. SFI approved as well which is nice. They are 3.75" diameter.. not sure how that would go with a VL tunnel?? Oh by the coupler at each end I mean the parts that slide into the transmission and bolt to the diff. Yokes I guess. Chris does turbo 400, 700 and glide yokes.. 4l80e there was heaps that was available. He just gets them made and re brands them, so length etc change isn't a problem. ---------- Post added 20-12-11 at 23:01 ---------- Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ok so would that mean I need to get the dimensions of the front yoke and the flange that bolts to the diff to have one made? The problem with one piece is the rubbing against the tunnel and would imagine would only get worse as the car gets lower? I.e hard launches or just daily driving it wen it's lowered? More of a concern to me would be the warranty as "IF" it failed, it would be alot of work and effort involved in sending it back to get checked for wat caused failure and getting it repaired in a timely manor compared to just taking the shaft to a local builder and shoving it in there face!

Yeah we would need to work out with the yokes either whats the same(T700 yoke or T56 Yoke etc)and will work or one of our CAD gurus put some time and effort into building up a CNC'd design we can send to be cut. I would have the measure the ass end, but it is to suit VT S1 diff with the uni's instead of the rubber donut. I think it will fit the borgy diff if thats the way you are running. He does have options to make it suit a 9" or whatever as well. There is a guy in Aus as well that does them.. buggered I know who though. The do smash, I've seen a photo of one and it was put down to damage before install but it was replaced anyway. I guess you could say its a nice thing, but they don't tear apart your car if they come loose, they just sort of puff out and fragment the resin if that makes sense.

Yer bw diff, as the mx7 yoke fits with the 33 box, would it be safe to assume there the same size as in spline / overall diameter?
