There's more to being able to slow a VL in a hurry from 150+kph...than locking brakes.. Haha.. Sounds like a recipe for disaster..
Doesn't get much more scary than pressing on a pedal that's already on the floor and nothing is happening..
Ya thats what i used to think, bigger brakes = better right? But just before the point of locking up is the absolute maximum rate of deceleration, you cant slow down any faster than the tyres can handle.
Now im more inclined to think that better brakes are better for a track car, which is going to suffer brake fade after repeated use, or if you are adding weight to a car (such as for towing).
My current brakes feel almost exactly the same as my cousins old car which we did the whole VT upgrade with VS booster. I'd like to keep my steel booster as opposed to the plastic one, but i may still end up seeing if Matt can hook me up with RX7 calipers (want to keep using 15's) that is if they work with the 1" master cyl

I want to race it, and do some club track days too. I think I'll go the twin piston upgrade, the sv version, and see how I go.
People that talk sh1t about the VT brake upgrade have just done it on the cheap or don’t know what their taking about. The only way to do it is with the VT twin diaphragm steel booster and 1 1/4 inch master cylinder. The same gear that came in VT-VY. Its basic fluid power and any engineer will be able to tell you the same thing. It seems odd to combine the VT master cylinder with the VS plastic booster when the two parts are not designed to work together and the VS booster does not supply enough vacuum assistance to use the VT master cylinder to its full potential. It’s one of those things that there is only one way to do it correctly contrary to popular belief.

That makes a tonne of sense, I'll look into doing it this way, to ensure it works efficiently, thanks bro speed!
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

also its worth getting yor suspension done.. youll be srprised how much dofference good suspension makes to stopping
ALL the suspension has been done, EVERYTHING is brand new. so now im at this stage. So it looks like the VT booster and Master are the way to go i think. any other thoughts?
