31-10-11, 19:47 GMT+10#21 At the end of the day its your car, but to modify a vehicle like this made in such low numbers and in amazing condition would be a huge shame.
If you really want a VLCT Wagon, you'd be better off buying one already 'molested' or mocking one up from a Berlina Wagon...
Then you could sell this 1 to me

03-11-11, 20:58 GMT+10#23 that rb26 is my old engine out of my wagon mate. If that guy has looked after it thatd be a good buy. That cost me around 10k with a vipec computer to make it suit a vl. Lots of hours were spent on that thing. It was sold to him ready to bolt in, dump to cat pipes, ecu, modified sump etc.

24-11-12, 11:28 GMT+10#35 According to the RTA site you provided if you sell the shell off to someone else they won't be able to reregister it. That is the way I read it anyway. Is there anyway you could repair it yourself? There might be people on this forum willing to help you out. I certainly would although I am living in Japan at the moment so won't be able to do much. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

25-11-12, 10:13 GMT+10#37 If it's a stat writeoff then it will never be able to be registered again as the damage is too severe or structural and cannot be safely repaired. Better if it was a repairable writeoff.

25-11-12, 11:20 GMT+10#38 According to the link the OP attached it can be repaired and reregistered. Maybe it is only allowable in NSW.

I think that this will be the problem. The front chassis and strut tower are very bent.

There is no such thing as repairable write off's in NSW any more all are now called stat write off now. Tho according to the RTA if u can show it has been repaired propely it may be re regoed....... u must show paperwork for all repairs and proof that they were done by a regested repairer
