ay bro, im pretty sure in regards to stuff out the bonnet with v8s, most of those types of cars wont be engineered, due to the fact of safety. Usually to get around that you need some type of scoop (ie vk sloping style), as the law states that if you were to hit someone in an accident, a carby out the bonnet or a filter would impede this. Even alot of scoops (large front on ones for front on air induction) are illegal, so I find it highly doubtful that any carby/ filtered v8s will be engineered.
There just not daily cars thats all. Youve got a much better chance of engineering a turbo'd car than a modded v8 one, Im currently doing a modded v8 project car and theres LOTS of issues.
Yeah i figured, do all those dudes at C4C get one day permits or something? Cars like IH83LT and 2DSIRE were on the street so i guess theyd have to get permits. Didnt look like the cops cared much anyway.
I dont plan on getting my GT42 high mount setup engineered

04-09-11, 17:14 GMT+10#25 when i was looking at getting mine engineered the engineer said i had to get an emissions test because of bigger turbo and microtech but said not worry as he knew someone that could do me a emissions friendly tune.

04-01-12, 21:08 GMT+10#31 Apparently all the engineers have been stripped of their engineers licences, so nothing can be engineered in nsw because the Rta has stepped up And pritty much banned people engineering modified vehicles, it has been on the news. I'll try find the link I seen and post it up.

15-01-12, 13:12 GMT+10#40 From what I have found out the laws of modification won't be changed, only the way that they are passed. Seem as though a few dodgy engineers have ruined it for all. I think alot of it was to do with public liability insurance also they either had none or were under insured.
