He's pretty much saying you're going to have traction issues with stockies Lol If you're on a budget grab some of them cheap ass diamondback tyres or similar from k-mart tyre and auto, get them as wide as possible and run around 15psi lol.. they are pretty soft and hook up alright.

with a manual ud b lucky to crack a 7 with traction, id say 8.0-8.5 wat did u do corran? manual, full slicks, great driver etc?

when it had 320kw with those old 8" slicks of yours jake/adam it run 7.1 which would still be around 10.9-11.1 As others said it would runna 9 over the 1/8 on road tyres I got some old slicks if your interested mate $50 there old as fark but i still managed a 10.9 with 385kw going through them.

This is shaping up to be huge - get out there and show your support for racing in SA. There will be ET/MPH display at the event, a new timing system is being brought in from another track for the event, with a new system being purchased for the track for the street meeets and other big meets that are booked in for the new year. The racing surface is in excellent condition and the required repairs in the braking area are under way. In the early new year the RH wall is to be extended to allow for full 1/4 racing. There will be Top Doorslammer, Pro-stock, Pro FX, Supercharged Outlaw, right down to grass-roots street cars and everything in between at this meet. There is also a competition running to win a ride in the Fabietti Monaro TD car. Tickets in the draw are $10 each.
