Now what kind of felt strange is that the first time he called I told him I was negotiable a little bit with the price and he did not try to negotiate it down at all, so what I want to know is if I give him my bank account name and number is there any way he can do some sort of a scam that way? As I have never done a cheque or this kind of a sale before and seeing all the scams going around I'm kind of worried this might be another one so just wanted as many opinions as possible.
Thanks in advance.[/QUOTE]
hey mate,
i worked for the National Australia Bank for a little over 5 yrs and if he has ur account number and bsb he can only deposit money and confirm it is ur account by quoting the account number and ur name. if he gets ur credit card # and wants to deposit money in there DO NOT GIVE HIM THOSE DETAILS. but the bsb and account number are fine to give out, theres nothing he can do with them. now this is a real long shot but.... suppose he had a friend workin on the inside of the bank and told him the scam and he went into the bank with ur details and if his friend was a teller he could help him get ur money, but it would be traced back to that teller and he'd get shafted. again its a real long shot but i think ur safe mate...cheers.
