i really need to give the car a clean so i can take a pic and put it up with the new wheels.. it looks pretty tough! I got my MSD 6al today but have one question about the wiring. I have a white wire from the msd that needs to go the electronic ignition amplifier output but i am not sure which one this is.. It's a bit had to see but i think there are 4 wires from the ignition module (white/purple/brown/black).. i am assuming the white wire on the ignition module?? can anyone confirm this?

Bit of an update, I got the MSD 6AL wired in yesterday. I need to find a better earth for it but it does make the car run a bit better on LPG, it still needs an LPG dyno tune though. Next on the list is to move the fuse box into the glove box and try and neaten up all the gas gear, maybe move it back to where the fuse box sits orignially. Then i want a HDT cold air intake. Not doing it for a performance boost but to smarten up the engine bay. Also looking at possibly getting a walkenshaw bonnet scoop and cutting a hole in the bonnet to try and feed some fresh cold air to the engine as i have had some over heating problems when stuck in traffic!

I just got a similar system on my ecotec v6. Don't suppose you have tried holding down the gas/petrol button for 5-10 seconds to force a lpg start? Thats what mine can do?

No i havent tried that. i will try it tonight when i leave work. Its my understanding that there is a setting in the LPG ECU that will allow you to start on gas, ie. set the temp to zero and rev's very low as well. They still need a signal from the petrol ecu to control the injector timing and duration. Bit of an update. I now have my extractors, twin cats and twin exhaust so hoping to get that installed before christmas and i am picking up a HDT air tray tonight that i will modify to fit to a vl. We found the problem with the LPG it was, there was an electrical fault so one injector was not working all the time. That is all fixed now and the car runs much better. I will get some more pics up soon.

Hey guys, bit of an update. I have my new exhaust installed which is pacemaker extractors (p5000 i think they were from a vn). twin 2.5 inch from the cats to a single back muffler that has twin inlet and 3 inch outlet. then 3 inch over the diff to a resonator. Also put a VN power steering rack in it to make sure there was enough clearance. Had the car dyno tuned on LPG and it goes pretty well and sounds great at idle and when you stick the boot in. I need to call the place back up cause they did not give me the dyno sheet so i dont know how much power it is making. I do have one issue though, there is a really annoying drone from about 1500 to 2500 rpm. Right in the cruising rev range! anyone have any ideas how to fix it? i was thinking maybe some form or baffle tip?

Ah the dreaded drone.. I have a blown 304 in my patrol with a single 3 system from the extractors back, staino cat and a tiny turbo muffler! and it drones from 1700-2200 and as you said that right in the cruising zone! Mines going to the exhaust shop once I change the clutch to get the biggest barrel muffler they can fit to hopefully rid me of the drone!
