03-07-11, 18:54 GMT+10#23 How about someone pro-hoon-laws provides "evidence" to show how much of a difference they are really making to the road toll?
Funny how every time i ask for it in one of these threads all the supporters go quiet.

Why wouldn't it. It doesn't have the right to be driven on roads and given its unregistered more than like unroadworthy too so unsafe to be driven.
But lets face it what sort of an inbred idiot would drive an unregistered vehicle on public roads anyway...

04-07-11, 12:01 GMT+10#29 I know why you post these stories all the time Russ but aren't you getting sick of seeing the same arguments be repeated over and over?
The two sides are never going to see eye to eye.
One side feels like its a gross breach of civil liberty and the other feels that this sort of stupidity should be stamped out with a heavy foot. These threads could go on for pages with everyone just repeating the same sh1t and in the end where does it get us? No where. The laws are the laws. You can either choose to obey them or roll the dice. End of the day the ones who disagree with it are a very small minority and social outcasts so we have no leg to stand on in getting the laws changed i.e. just take it up the ass and thank the government for it.
Close faggotry thread.

What's the difference between an unregistered vehicle and a registered one? You did not pay the gov their 620 dollars for the year to use their roads, not like the car becomes a driving bomb just because the rego runs out............................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..................................... Btw there's as many Registered vehicles that are unroadworthy if not more then the non registered ones just because some ones rego runs out does not mean their car is instantly a death trap or an accident waiting to happen.

As I said, being used to refill the Reserve Bank Accounts after Labors treacherous years of economic mismanagement to try somehow recover the losses. Add to that the new carbon tax and we'll all hear how that red head has made a positive change to this country. And for those defending her, this was noted well and truly even before the Queensland floods.
I am not defending hoons, I just don't see it to be just when the money raised from fines isn't put back into driver welfare and cheaper registrations/ tollways or better yet, where the money will be used to make a difference like in flood/ bushfire affected areas. The coppers want a pay rise, this is where the money will come from.

So if you get hit by an unregistered car( not saying you are but just hypothetical) and are seriousy hurt, you are not going to ask the TAC for payment to cover hospital costs, ambulance fees, rehabilitation?
Thats where a fair chunk of the payment goes to.

Fair enough, but honestly i only wrote that to stir **** between all the wankers acting like they're angels and all innocent and never done anything wrong in their lives. NO ONE IS PERFECT we're all human and it just ****s me to see "car enthusiasts" supporting every fu*ked "anti hoon law" that our "bright government" brings in because it "saves lives" and just lick the governments ass agreeing with everything they do when in fact they could not be more wrong because these laws don't save lives and lets be honest its not why they're brought in, the real reason is for our government to fill their already so full pockets with easy money from easy targets aka young guys that love their cars and spend lots of money on modifying them. Also at the same time they're slowly killing off a big very big industry by making everything illegal. I would understand these laws if we had more places to go to (more race tracks etc) but we don't and you don't see many deaths happening from "MODIFIED CARS" most of the deaths are due to drink/drug driving, fatigue and just some plain stupidity with young people, yet the people doing this kind of stuff get nowhere near the punishments we get for having nice cars, because if you have a nice car you're a hoon and you're a criminal and a danger to society and should be locked up for the rest of your life bla bla bla bull$hit bull$hit bull$hit etc. Lets face it if they really wanted to save lives they would have better driving courses so you don't get wankers that don't know the traffic laws or at least the basics of driving getting their licenses driving on the wrong side of the road, crashing into people, buildings, poles, dogs, cats, skanks so on and so forth. They would invest into fixing roads up because seriously theres soo many fu*king poor quality roads out there its ridiculous. But seriously stop being such HYPOCRITES and pretend like you guys never done anything stupid like you're all angels and fairies that just glow with goodness, everyone does stupid things in life just because you might have "grown out of it" and are a more mature person with a family doesn't make you any better then anyone else out there because at some point in your life you've done the same stupid **** everyone else has/is/does today tomorrow next week etc..........PEACE

06-07-11, 22:25 GMT+10#34 Ok take a breath, maybe even hit the return button randomly. It will be a lot easier to read what you just said..
That being said, just because people say that hoons should be screwed doesn't mean they have never done anything wrong.
I've done plenty wrong in my 1st 4 years of driving but I can honestly say I have not sped or disobeyed a traffic law in over 10 years.
Yes I have illegally modified cars(havent driven 1 in over 4 years) both of which would not pass emissions but RWC wise would fly through with flying colors.
This technically makes me a hoon but does not mean I am one. If I get pulled over and get a reaming, I am not going to go ragging on the police for doing their job. It is MY choice to do so just like it was the choice of the guy to drive his car unlicensed. He deserves to have the book thrown at him.
Everyone moans that the courts are going soft on realcriminals, yet moans that they get a canary or impound when the get caught doing something stupid.
Just look at how everyone bitches and moans that their car got broken into or stolen and that the theif deserves to have his hands cut off. Yet have the double standard that someone who does 20-30 over the limit or races another car on the street, isn't endangering lives

06-07-11, 22:58 GMT+10#36 A dude a few weeks ago on highway patrol was pulled up and they noticed while following he was getting one.
Just told him to wait till home as he wasn't "really" concentrating, plus what would happen if they were in an accident. Might lose it lol.

06-07-11, 23:14 GMT+10#37 I wasn't going off at the cops at all, just the people on here acting as if they're angels and never do wrong, you weren't one of them so sorry if I offended you.. and yes speeding in traffic is endangering lives.
But I also never said anything about that I just once again was going off at the people kissing the gov ass and agreeing with every "bright law" the gov decides to bring in as if its going to make a massive difference (if any) in "saving lives" when "hooning is not really the major factor in this at all.
Honestly do you really think these new laws will lower the deaths on our roads? Or was it just a easy way to make even more money from us then they already are? I'm pretty sure they're thinking about the money not the lives these new laws will "save".
Just gets annoying seeing the exact same people in the exact same subject based threads thrash talk everyone else and act like they never do anything bad...

That is the biggest problem these days, because even if you do the right thing, as long as you've got a nice/modded car you're classified as the same guy doing burnouts in the parking lot of a shopping center in his single spinner vn/vr with chopped springs and then hitting a pole or something which is just retarded.

06-07-11, 23:23 GMT+10#38 The wrong thing about these hoon laws is the car gets impounded, licence suspended and bail conditions (for a first offence) BEFORE the matter goes to court. If the driver is found to be not guilty they have still been a long time with no licence and have to pay impound fees for somehting they arent guilty of. Where is the presumption of innocence?

06-07-11, 23:24 GMT+10#39 gst, taxes, hoon laws, carbon tax... all brought in by the same people. government spends too much money too quickly how do they recover? by smashing people with fees and fines, instead of fixing roads they spend money on making half of sydney with speed/red light cameras, doesnt bother me but so much money spent on ****ing people over.

we've all got it so good and people complain about a newspaper article and laws that in all likelyhood won't even affect them
wake up and smell the roses
and when a news story gets posted up you aren't forced to reply, it's just an article that's funny in many ways: the idiot has done the wrong thing before and now he does it again and falls asleep at the wheel
it's not posted up to start or cause arguments, have a laugh at it, discuss it maybe, but there's no need to be angry ffs
