[QUOTE=zzz.087;2709148]so im told rumour has it ur motor is shagged? filling the catch can? **** if thats the case and ur losing half ur boost past the rings this thing has got easy 9's in it well done ---------- Post added 09-03-11 at 02:19 ---------- It did it on the night but we arnt 100% sure. the oil was very thin as E85 is doing similar things to methenol n getting into the oil ans making it like water. So its having a leak down test done on it n this should tell us whats going on. I wouldnt go as far as the motor is shagged. its done this once before n it turned out to be a miner problem. Who told you? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Its had a **** load of cold starts lately waiting for the weather to fine up to race, its been sitting for ages n hasnt had an oil change since sitting.

Just make sure what comes out stays in the can, if you overflow or the baffles don't catch the oil you'll be in trouble, regular draining

Makes you wonder what is with peoples obsession with having a catch can return back to the sump Nice time and from the pics I've seen, one of the cleanest VL's around Good luck with the 9! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

mine was the same on ethanol, nothing on petrol, just crack the rocker cover and smell it, its like a fuel tank inside lol another thing it could be is oil control rather than blow by, high revs holds alot of oil in the head and it just doesn't have the time to drain, could be something to consider as well your comp test will reveal all

As i n you have said Comp n leak down test will reveal all. ---------- Post added 09-03-11 at 13:02 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by RB2GO [View Post] I mean make sure you drain it before it gets to full, don't ask why i say this lol Oh yeah! got ya now! lol

What oil pump are you running? I had trouble with mine filling the catch can after installing an RB25 pump. Would just about fill my 0.8L catch can after 3 passes down the track. Put a -10 drain from the rocker cover to the sump and there would have been no more than 15-20mm of oil in the bottom after a whole day of racing

What sized catch can lines are you using? There's another white VL turbo running similar times as you (guess who) who used to fill the catch can but bigger lines stopped the issue. Give him a call for more info.
