IMO i dont see the "standard or turbo" VL's being worth much more then what they are now..the only VL's to rise in value would be the HDT's and Brocks. The way people compare the VL too the XY or HQ is just ridiculous.. Maybe the HDT's but i dont think the turbo's or factory bodyd v8's..

the silly one's are those who think people are expecting a VL to be worth Phase 3 money, nobody actually is. mate currently has a very clean stock standard 6 cyl XY Falcon and he's been offered $20K regularly and gets thumbs up from other drivers whenever he takes it out there's no reason a nice totally original Calais turbo won't be worth that, and more, in the future. It's about supply and demand for clean orig examples and, like so many cars, most go through a stage where young guys mod them, ruin many, and thereby reduce that supply. they are already effectively overpriced and have been for years so it's happening as we speak.

The VL Turbo will always turn heads, empty pockets, blow up, cause headaches & heartache, get stolen, written off.. But most of all will remain a tuff car, with enthuisiasts from young to old!!! No, i am giving credit where it is due. My bet is if the japs didn't have anything to do with the VL you wouldnt have had a second look at one. Mind you i love the VL hence why i own one and i am a forum member as i said before just telling it how it is.

the good VL's will become more rare . and add better sale price . parts will be harder to find, i guess they will end up like FORD XY's in sale prices later on .. people will still be into but people always find something esle ..
