Great idea Mate , even though I am not into fords , Throwing in a XR6 Turbo motor , should make the VL Crack along , Will be looking forward to see it when it is done. P.S. hey i just had a thought... is there gunna be turbo/exhaust clearence issues noting that the holden and fords exhausts are on oppisite sides?

Should be sweet man, a mates got a 4.0 in a R33 and its gone 1135rwhp now and hes got a 4" dump, its a tight fit but theres more room in a vl enginebay so we'll see how it goes Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

there is a 2sp glide for sale in the WA section, genki's thread, i suggest you pm him if you are still looking as for the ford motor in the holden. who cares? go to a holden meet and everyone rags on the nissan motor... whats the difference anyway? its all hurr durr i HATE ford because i LOVE holden. you're all just buying into the consumerism that way anyway... its about owning a GOOD car. fords 4L is a strong donk, and with the kind of work you are talking about here its going to chop on a whole new level. furthermore if you do drag your knuckles out of your holden only cave and have a think about it, isnt a holden car using a ford motor to spank the fords with their own weapon kind of romanticly appealing? all i have left to say is i am disapointed its taken this long before someone dumped a 4L turbo ford motor into a vl! Qoute: Scored too cause the motor being late 06 has the typhoon bottom end and upgraded valve springs, all i have to do is the cam gears. pretty sure mate there not the same bottem end as the f6, hate to spoil it for you sorry, bf engines do have bigger valve springs yes, and the dump pipe was slighly different but that was it i think, and the bigger valve springs are still **** i wouldnt take them over 300kw

They have improved rods over the earlier BA's.. but i still wouldnt be pushing them too hard. The motor is out of the car, may as well do the lot

if your not worrying about it blowing which by your own admission u want to see how far u can take the stock motor, chuck it in there and give it hell at power cruise. good to see something different, highly surprised this hasn't been done ten times over. 4.0 ford motor is a tuners wet dream.

Hey got my 2 speed, manual TCI valvebody, deep pan. Now just need dellow bellhousing and a converter and fit everything A mate of mine has just finished his basicly, should be at powerplay on sat. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
