06-04-11, 22:09 GMT+10#21 Always happy to help Mo
I get most of my gear from Summit in the states
Flexplate is TCI-399753 and it was $214.95 & the dust cover is TCI-743866 and was $21.95
Its like half price over there and the freight is cheap as ****
Payed $150 for this freight price... saved it on the flexplate alone... the transmission cooler is BMM-70298 and was $199.75 and its over $500 here
Allfast is good but i've had 3 converters done now and 2 weren't what i wanted and Simon wanted me to pay extra to rectify... so i'm going straight to Dominator when i decide whether to keep current cam or change.

21-04-11, 08:55 GMT+10#23 Well some good news
Tim Slako from West Racing has been able to dig up the history of my engine he put together for the previous owner
Quote:
"Just has performance wholesale heads that have been locally cnc ported etc and a comp cam, which should be part no- 54-448-11. (238/240 @050 lift 112 LSA and 605'' lift.)"
So now i am able to order the stall... going to go with a 4000 or 4500 stall through TCE so far but haven't spoken to Dominator yet.
Pretty happy with the cam size enough to leave it in there.
Modified loom should be here in 3 weeks so i can get some more progress done.

05-06-11, 19:44 GMT+10#29 ls1 fits hell easy in that engine bay! so much room compared to a vl.
how much room is there in the trans tunnel?

06-06-11, 23:12 GMT+10#30 The T400 hasn't been in it yet as it was still being built when i test fitted the engine.
I'm already well aware that i'll have to attach it to the engine before fitting as there is 2 bolts that would be impossible to do with engine already in.
Also have no choice but to run a B&M due to clearance between floor and shifter attachment.
But yeah there is bulk free space in the engine bay, the 4-1's shall fill the void between the engine and the rails though haha

02-07-11, 13:42 GMT+10#35 looks good mate
will you be able to remove them once in the car all up and running? or will it be a whole engine and trans out job?

10-07-11, 20:07 GMT+10#36 I will be able to remove them with the engine/box in the car but it will be a prick of a job.
Watch this space, and i have the pipes and everything back in my posession!

16-08-11, 11:02 GMT+10#38 Oops forgot to keep this going
I am so so tired right now from pretty much 6 solid days and 1000 phone calls
Got the Moroso oil pickup, f body camaro windage tray and Moroso sump on the engine today. Tested up the extractors/mounts/starter then dropped the engine back in for now
Got plenty of help to get it running... few budget killers have arisen namely a speedo sensor kit that needs to get pressed into the box back at DTM on Monday NOR (yay driving!) The joys of doing a retro Torana though i guess
But i wanted to show off the porn radiator (Browns built not some half assed pwr/adc)
Bit of a dummy fit
Finished up for the day, not entirely lift kitted spec
Tried to get it going for Dad's funeral on Friday but its too much stress on the family so i'll aim for father's day burnout comp and i'll light her up once and once only!
Its in another magazine also!
