Yeh according to him but the truth is that it's a fully built engine and on that day at heathcote raceway another vehicle ran 13.64@163mph and straight after acker ran 9.9 @152.9mph with a mid track of 108/109mph so let's be truthful about what we post.
By the way where is your r31 skyline? Haven't seen it for years I remember you posted a while back that you had plans of going of 150mph+

I wasn't comparing the two cars, far from it, not sure why you've become so defensive, i merely asked if Acker did run 147mph but it was 143 mph as indicated by a few.
Sorry i just read further down, it was 9.7@ 143 mph using standard rods but forged pistons and given it's a calais it is far heavier than the car in question and run a higher mph.

The standard rods bend around 430rwkw in whatever car your using.. they're metal, they fatigue and they WILL eventually bend.
Nice work on the time btw.
morgz are you talking about CGMFLY? , that went 9.8 or 9.7 complete standard bottom end too back in the day
yet again awesome work and time , love the fact its still utilising the standard bottom end

27-01-11, 08:40 GMT+10#27 Yeah was a 9.9 or 9.8 by bigpsi on the standard motor with the standard exhaust manifold and a jpc 800hp gt3582r.

Yeah 9.81 @ 142 with 372rwkw .... standard rods and cast pistons
The pistons i used weren't Nissan ones but were still cast
424kw for 139mph sounds pretty exaggerated power to me
Congrats on the et though I wished i had of raced mine at Calder

29-01-11, 20:56 GMT+10#33 1.48 60ft impresses me. I could only manage 1.60's with a very similar time/power/tyre.
He's not running drum rears is he?

30-01-11, 13:15 GMT+10#38 Oh no sorry was with a transbreak But iv seen some cars do a decent 60 wth foot break by stalling up in a higher gear and putting it back into first!

30-01-11, 21:30 GMT+10#39 Yer though that might have been
any better than 1.48? I know its not the same being V8 and all but i stall up in 2nd and pull 1st and only get 1.60, cant go 3rd cos its a ratchet. 1.59 is my best.

30-01-11, 21:37 GMT+10#40 mines goes 1.48 aswell, off the footbrake, on mt street radials... and I rekon there's prob a tiny bit more in it too...
I dunno about the old stall up in second smash into first thing tho, haha that's pretty brutal on the tranny... cant imagine it lasting long..
