26-12-10, 20:16 GMT+10#23 vx ss, cost/vs/power/comfort come up pretty good imo thats why brought one.
6 speed, ls1 good times, will pull a healthy 230-240rwkw with basic as mods.
12-13 k should get u a nice low km 6speed if your not in a massive hurry

26-12-10, 20:59 GMT+10#24 I bought a VX SS as a daily back in late 2003.. now it will never see the road legally again.
If you have the bug like alot of us do.. it doesn't matter what you drive you end up trying to make it better. I own a Isuzu now and am looking at exhaust options.
Any of the later model commodores or fords are a pretty good ride which are quite easily able to get reliable power from.
I still love the VL scene, would I go back..... not unless the right car came up at the right price. The right n/a calais just begging for a LS3 transplant would do it.

Must be a thrill destroying Ford Lasers in your non turbo very powerful Soarer. - Are u serious? wtf dude.

26-12-10, 21:51 GMT+10#27 LOL may I ask what you drive?, and by destroying other cars I mean the 2jzgte not the n/a like mine, saying that the na is still plenty of power for me. can't wait to find out what you drive that's so much better than the 2jz?

26-12-10, 22:05 GMT+10#28 I wouldnt say I'm in the vl scene, more like on the border, got one in the garage on a rotisserie, but I would never buy one for a daily again. Too much hassle. Looking into getting a newish 4wd tho.

I actually drive a daewoo everyday currently - but then again I'm not the one making any claims. I have owned fast cars in the past, and will again in the future, but thats pretty irrelevant.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

28-12-10, 07:05 GMT+10#31 okay, the only claim I'm trying to make is that the 2jz is the best value for money motor in australia, and anyway you shouldn't talk bad about a soarer if you own a daewoo anyway nomatter what you drove in the past, but anyway each to their own.

Just because your mate give you a reach around and tells you its awesome doesn't mean it is.
Cunt you got no fucking idea.
Come back when you can explain why its awesome.

28-12-10, 17:25 GMT+10#40 A turbo 2j may be good because u can throw a sht load of power into it in stock form but if ur looking at value for money it's gotta be a LS1 or any of the other LS motors, u can pick them up for Fck all and make bulk power so easily.
