Looking at exhaust at this stage, supposedly 15kw in that alone. I'll stick it on the dyno for before and afters for each little mod and see if it does go better.
I rescind all comments as long as you post skid photos - with the trailer on

17-12-10, 12:24 GMT+10#27 Get a duramax or something.. A bigblock was never going to be economical. A duramax won't be that great either, but gotta pay to play.

yeah money is the issue. wouldnt go duramax. would have definetly gotten a dodge ram with a 6.7 cummins. cannot beat that for pulling. last month my old man and i were looking to importing one, but conversion cost 39k, **** that. could land em for 30k, 04-06 model but found out its illegal to drive them LHD because their too new.
end of the day glad we put the 454 rather than a diesel.. why? because it would have cost more in the end, and still been illegal to tow either boat. regardless, the 454 can pull over 2x the legal towing capacity of the cruiser, which is 2.8 tonne. wheel base and brakes **** us

What is your towing capacity? The D-Max can tow 3 tonne braked.

haha.. of coarse i bitch, i contribute w/e i have left to help my old man out. another month and im a chippy
cruiser can tow 2.8 legally from what i've heard braked. atm its towing the caribbean in melb weighing 3.5 tonnes and in narooma the nooscat weighing 4.5. so need something to pull 4.5 legally.. truck?

17-12-10, 20:02 GMT+10#31 Yeah you would need a light truck at minimum. Probably tow it alot better to and be more frugal.. I say get a race car/boat tower

18-12-10, 13:50 GMT+10#32 the question is how much to fork out.. boat gets towed to melb once a year. yet in narooma its 4 kays to the ramp and thats all it goes, there and to servo.. towing over 70 kays is scary as all **** man, **** bricks. last time we towed to from melb to narooma with the cruiser we snapped a brake line in eden going down hill, with no brakes omfg.. lol. managed some bush mechanics **** but the way we doing it, your stopping car boat and all with the sensabrakes, big risk.

19-12-10, 16:58 GMT+10#35 You do about 10-15% gas to diesel.
