its understated and classy... perfect on a calais.
looks great on the calais rims... et street radials to suit? 8inch? bigger? could be such a great sleeper.

I was actually going to go gunmetal over silver, but once I saw how good the full doors/guards looked in the gunmetal I decided to stick with the single tone.
Actually we did put a silver rear bumper on and I didnt like it
Thanks again all for the comments!
I have been stuck for a while thinking of what wheels to put on, but yeah the polished Calais rims do look pretty sweet and classic. Could possibly end up with street slicks on them one day

I was thinking about it the other day, I did a bit of work to it, swapping the diff, gearbox, brakes. Was a shame, but oh well. At least it was only a VL!

23-09-10, 20:51 GMT+10#39 Wow, heres an actual progress update from me!! Even this stage has been a long time coming
Motor had been sitting around for a few months with 3 snapped exhaust manifold studs. Finally decided to remove them - had to take off the manifold of course.
Cleaned up the mating surfaces with a bit of light emery paper
New studs with a bit of anti seize and new Nissan gasket
lol and thats it
