When I bought my K&N pod, I got told by the guy at Autobarn 'that most VL guys he knows have a long thin pod and run it down to behind the front bar'
Didn't want to do this, I have a piece of plastic piping running from behind the front bar
up to the the pod (involved cutting a hole in the steel where the airbox goes)
worked well for a while, but pods are no good in the bay without some sort of heat protection against the engine, so now I'm putting the box back in with a K&N panel filter
and cutting a hole in the bottom to run the airpipe from behind the front bar into it. (Can always weld a piece back in if you get sick of that set-up)

Also on the whole legality thing.. (Not sure about NSW)
but quite sure they're illegal in Vic altogether, and it kinda
just comes down to the cop that pulls you over, I've had 6 defects while
I've had the pod on but in not one of those defects have I ever been told to remove the pod
(and some of them have been for stupid sh*t like no water in the window washer bottle etc.)
Whereas one of my mates has been defected for his pod, so I guess its a case of luck.

LMFAO, just take a **** before going in your car, just to make the car a bit lighter thats the difference. Although panel filter all the way with a intake pipe to it.

pod filters are useless on a na they just change the sound and suck in hot air dont waste you'r time and money save you'r penny's for a turbo conversion later down the track

i do!
and no offence but spend say 100dollars(not that i wouldnt)
on a pod isnt really going to burst my budget on a turbo

anyways. lol im all for panel filter and cold air intake, switched back today
pretty much if some one changed it without you knowing you wouldn't know the difference in my opinion
