you got to know your car and at what rpm you can stretch it to without wheel spin. just keep practising and once you got it dont think about it too much.. i know with my vy ss when ever i got a run a allways get too much wheel spin coz i think of take off too much... keep the nerves down relax and yo u will be sweet bud. =]
thanks man....
i will just keep practicing i am waiting to hear back about slicks... so should have some tomorrow.. just need to get a few things sorted out with the car & i will be hopefully towing it to calder on the 9th!

Considering it's a button clutch don't ride it. And be careful with the slicks, ive seen car snap all kinds of thing trying to launch too hard on sticky slicks/tracks
yeah ill be making sure my tailshaft is A1 before going...
worst comes to worst i do snap something, fingers crossed i don't, ive got the trailor there to just tow back home.

im going on Semi slicks also
how much power is the car making ?
also yeah et streets on a fully prepped track such as calder will be a totally different ball game compared to the street on regular road radials.
Lmao let me guess a ridiculous dyno figure on such low boost means it had to be tuned at jpc, is marks dyno on ice these days? I'm really looking forward to seeing this and another jpc vl race Saturday other ones making 210rwkw with a t3 and boost cooler and exhaust yet it ran a 13.7 with a three speed comon man I've seen cars with 170rwkw come out of other shops like rajabs, created and initial d and gtech and run 12.5-12.9s with the same setups and same drivers or driving experience

lol ... not to start a workshop war here and being a jpc customer myself but marks dyno on crack, hes never had a happy dyno from the start so why start now , whats he really got to prove ? lol common dude mark has been in the game long enough playing around with vlt's RB30s while we were still in nappies and didnt know what a vl even was so he knows hes **** , and regrdless of the power figures on the dyno has proven time and time again results on the track we all know that.
the car had alot extra tweeking and focus in other areas of the motor to get that result , yes maybe its was a low boost reading but i strongly agree it will make that same power on another dyno time and time again ..
anyways good luck james , enjoy!

I have heaps of trouble launching my vl off the line. 1st gear is wheelspin from the moment boost hits. 2nd gear spins the wheels as well and thats only with 200rwkw. The T3 is very responsive so im guessing its harder to launch with a T3 than a GT35/40 because it hits boost so early through the gears. CSLFLY let us know how you go mate as i will be throwing on a 35/40 with a .82 rear very soon and i will be chasing power that is similar to what you have.
cheers nick and vlaero..
cars booked in JPC on tuesday to get a few things sorted out so hopefully still going to go on the 9th.
nick ill buzz you when im ready so u can come watch

I dunno I don't believe any1s dyno figures anymore and won't say its tuff till I see it's driving or on the track simple as that, a dyno figure is just an estimation tool two diff dynos means two diff readings is how I see it aswell, I know marks good...and any1 that knows mark will say his good but I know for a fact his certainly not the best but hey that's my 2c and u can't buy anything for 2c these days
