What ****s me is they go on about hoons in nice cars is when you see videos its always ****ty fwd things doing handbrakies, they aernt hoons there nobs. my 2 cents

You say that its news like this that ruins it for the rest of us. Actually its not the news that ruins it for the rest of us, its the idiots doing the skids that ruin it. News stories and all the Current Affairs shows are always going to show and promote the bad side of stories like this. But if there were no bad sides to the stories, meaning there isn't any fruitcakes popping massive skids in a carpark, then they would have no bad news to portray and run with. It does annoy me also the bad attention that car cruises/car clubs get, but the news reports will always portray either the positive or negative depending on the point they wish to get across. Also Mat, with regards to the comment you make about the cruise trying to avoid the freeway, and you saying that it may just be because they don't want to get split up, well this doesn't stand to reason. The freeway is more likely to allow everyone to bunch up again, slow down to 70 or 80kph and let the others catch up. Its the back streets which are likely to allow more separation due to controlled intersections with lights etc. The freeway is the best way to keep as a group mate. Don't let it get to you mate. There is always going to be bad reps for many things. If its not car cruises, it will be for something else. News is news and they can blow anything out of proportion at will. What needs to happen, is the hoons that do continue to do this sort of behaviour, well they need to be banned from any clubs or cruises. Im no saint on the road and I don't wish to portray myself as one, but to do a skid like the white van was doing in a main carpark in full view of pedestrians or bystanders is just asking for trouble. The news is and always will be the news, but the idiots who do this so blantantly need to pull there head in. There is a time and a place to be silly, and thats just stupid. And for god sake, if someone is going to film you, make sure they don't have an "Ulterior Motive" and send it to the news obviously like this person did. But if the person filming this white van happened to be a non-related person to the cruise, then it proves my point that this person didn't care who saw it and who filmed it and has very limited knowlegde for the flow-on effect this can have and already has!!!
