lol.... well im still needing help with what to choose im running a injected 304 in my vl with a t5.at the end of year when i go te respray bay i plan to put some compresion into it along with a hi rise and biger throttle body but retaining the standard stroke with a basic rebuild/rings and bearings etc.... what cam should i choose?i was thinking the 284 to be safer like most recomend???? i havent got the exhaust made up yet so i am unsure what to do there.what should i get to match the future work and cam i have planned?i was looking into a single 2.5 or 3 inch with a decent cat? theres no lie that i want the motor to rev hard lol.any more opinions?

Get a Wade 1522C1536B, a cam to suit the standard manifold, will pull hard and make heaps of torque, with out dying before it starts to make power. Anything bigger than a 284 is going backwards.

well if you plan on doing that, why not wait til you got all the bits ready to go. depends if you plan on redoing the motor or not.

With that cam, you can use LT1 Springs, so all parts should come in under $600 ;240 odd for cam, 120 for lifters, 80 for springs, 60 for gasket set + oil and filters. if you can do the work yourself, it is relatively cheap
