On that note. Thanks Paul for running the advert on ETstreet.com for the last month or so. Mentions to Luke Oxley from Fullboost for the coverage and mentions also on your site. Greatly appreciated.
Anytime champ, always happy to help out for events like this. These kind of events benifit the whole car scene and are a lot of fun! Was a really well run event and like everyone said it was only the first. Im sure the best is yet to come!
It was not only a good weekend at the track but an awesome social event! Really good to catch up with everyone and put some faces to names... Was suprised to see such a big turn out of spectators!
As for selling the tickets, lucky laura was helping me. Sif anyone would wanna buy raffle tickets off me bro! hahaha.

28-04-10, 15:41 GMT+10#23 I had a great time, was excellent to meet everyone all in one weekend. It was put together so well, it was alot better than i expected and finally got to see some of the best cars Aus has to offer. Was the highlight getting to see the Maatouks cars go down doing some good numbers.

28-04-10, 16:08 GMT+10#24 The year was definatley a case of Quality over Quantity, and the massive amount of spectators, could not beleive it.
And the event can only grow from here,
Was great to put usernames & avatars to a face and the combination of the racing event along with the party on the saturday night was great. An event organised like no other Steve & Paul.
Very much looking forward to next years event.

28-04-10, 16:39 GMT+10#25 Great event, had a great time even if i was a zombie.
Well done steve and crew, can only imagine how stressful it was to organise.
Hopefully we have another and i will definitly race. Was the first event to
actually get me fired up and go home and start to organise the car after a few yrs of sitting
cheers

28-04-10, 16:44 GMT+10#26 Was a fantastic event for a first go,
Heaps of quality cars, and Saturdays attendance was pretty big considering the horrible weather.
Can only get better from here Steve.
Nice to meet a heap of interstater's aswell.

28-04-10, 17:02 GMT+10#27 Sorry for the delay in posting. As i mentioned i fell asleep last night and also with the long winded write up i felt this may be missed by the reader.
A big pat on the back to my Neighbour Paul. He has done a grand job of getting the event to where it is. For someone who didnt really know the back from the front of a car let alone a VL has started to really know what's what in the last few months. We have worked closely together on many occasions and have spent many a night working tirelessly to update the website or calling people and even writing emails. Mate i know you will read this even though you haven't even signed up to CT yet. So from me to you i just wanted to thank you for all the effort and support in the times i got down, frustrated or depressed with what was going on. You really lifted my spirits. On the other hand you sometimes really gave me the sh!ts. LMFAO. Anyway we got through it and we are still best of mates. Funny that we stayed at the same place yet hardly had time to speak we were just so busy with our own tasks or jobs. We all said you took one for the team Saturday night when you lost the stray. Yet it returned at 4am. We havent had much time to sit and chat yet as we both needed to return to our family lifes. See you tonight mate. Looking forward to a froothie and a chat about the weekends events. Who know's we may even discuss whats next! TBA.....
On a similar note i must make my BIGGEST thanks to my wife and family. I Haven't seen Mrs Chafe or chafe jnr's much in the last 4 months even though she lives under the same roof. My work just never seemed to end. Id get home from my own job and start work on this Nats stuff the kids would say. Rarely going to bed before 1-2am. Then up and off to work. I really have to thank her for her paitence with me. Not only for being so supportive but letting me go away and spend contless dollars on my car. I say countless cos she's not sure how much ive spent. lol. Anyway i need to have an internet holiday for a while so ive been told so from now on ill pretty much just be posting when she's out. Love you hon
I knew there would be plenty of others i missed and im sorry. Example Matt (Blink) thanks for doing a heap to get our website right and also assisting with all my silly questions regaridng it. Turbz for all the great spaming around the internet and the others like Weezy and Alex for attending car shows and sprouting out flyers. Not only that Weezy wore a nats sticker on his GTR for a while.
I will Post up some more probably some thank you's from Pauls side of things. Im sure theres others i never even met that he did.
We will let you know the go for the next one hopefully soon. Stay tuned!
PS if i missed your mention bad luck! just joking. Just know you have done a great part to making the event a success.

Thanks for the brews on the balcony at the Swan and thanks for the event. Without blokes like you putting the time and effort in nothing ever gets done in the car scene.

28-04-10, 18:18 GMT+10#31 I had a great time, I hope next year is ago, I have already put all my mates up here on stand by for next year telling them how much off a great time it was. Most would attend if it was at Heathcote next year over other tracks because some off them dont have ANDRA approval and alot I noticed that raced there didn't either.
The track surface was not the best but end off the day everyone drove on the same thing and had to deal with it...
hell I had an awesome time running the vl down, first time out on new set up and I was stoked.
see you all next year I hope

Its half way for both sides of Vic compared to Heathcote. Much better seating and all around WAY better track. I'd expect a massive turnout for 2011 considering how well 2010 went and the fact that Heathcote was so far away for most of us I think its what screwed the turnout
(Melb might have a new race track in 2011 anyway, who knows )

People drove, towed cars, and flew in from all over Australia, and your complaining about an hour and a half drive distance between Calder and Heathcote?
Are you serious?
